WD-40 Specialist Long-Term Corrosion Inhibitor

Worked great on AC coils etc. Seems to have stopped corrosion in salty environment. Going to put cleaning and WD 40 corrosion inhibitor application on a 6 mo schedule.

Excellent product as always. Spread it on some rusty areas. We’ll see what happens. Come the end of winter.

I was able to deal with some surface rust on petal parts exposed to salt water. I'm pleased with the results.

Great product

I use this on highly exposed parts on my RV. I primarily use this for prevention in areas prone to rust. The best prevention is to ensure any rust is removed and painted appropriately. That being said, there are simply places that cannot be painted, such as scissor stabilizers or areas exposed to road debris. This is where this product comes into play for me. In one situation, simply because I did not have the time to properly fix it, I just sprayed it on the affected area to prevent further rust. By the time I got back to it, the rust was almost entirely removed. Because it was more of an unsightly issue than a critical component, I let it sit longer. After two weeks, it just about removed all the visible rust and protected the part even in dusty and arid conditions. It didn't seem like it dried out. I was impressed. This will be used for removal, prevention, and quick fix to prevent further damage until it can be properly fixed. Overall, this is a good product, but a bit pricey. Time will tell how much a 6.5 ounce can will last, which will ultimately determine its overall value. For effectiveness, it works great. I would recommend.

I have a couple older cars and use this product to attack rust, along with Rust-Oleum Rust Reformer. I use the latter on locations that need black, but anything else gets this. It helps if you spray an area and then spread this around with your fingers to get all areas fully coated. The tube attachment helps for hard (or impossible) to reach rusty areas so they get a dose too. I'll be buying more cans.

Nous avons 2 voitures pas recentes mais propres, j’ai testé cette enduit sur quelques pièces et surfaces avec de la corrosion puis verifié le resultat apres avoir passé un hiver Canadien. Je suis surpris du résultat, le produit dilue la rouille puis sèche apres environs une journée laissant une protection qui a passé l’hivers. Oui c’est Très dispendieux pour une petite bouteille mais je le recommande tout de même fortement.

Como ingeniero metalúrgico sé que ninguna pieza metálica se salva de la oxidación, incluso si están almacenados (claro, a menos que estén al vacío). Hago trabajos eléctricos y de fontanería por pasatiempo, por eso sé que invertir en buenas herramientas es ideal para evitar hacer gastos recurrentes en nueva herramienta, después de cada trabajo limpio toda la herramienta que usé (elimino polvo, remuevo óxido superficial con cepillo de latón) y aplico este lubricante, es el que elijo por los resultados que me ha dado, no sólo protección contra la oxidación y corrosión en herramientas, también en bisagras, cadenas, soportes metálicos y otras aplicaciones. Las herramientas que ves las he tenido por más de un año, algunas son de años, pero teniendo el cuidado y mantenimiento adecuado pueden parecer de ayer. Nota: Una vez que rocías el lubricante en el objeto deja una capa "blanca espesa", esta desaparece en varios meses si fue abundante, si fue una capa fina y la esparces por la superficie no es notoria.
