Thoughtful thing.
Thoughtful thing. I bought a 30 liter barrel from this manufacturer. A 60 liter barrel is much more convenient than a 30 liter barrel. Wide mouth, very easy to wash. Tight lid. The drain valve is hidden behind the bottom, does not stick out like a 30 liter barrel. That is, there is no risk of breaking it. At the bottom of the barrel are convenient grooves for fingers. To be able to turn over and hold the barrel. Good and durable plastic. I am very pleased with what I bought.

Big and easy to clean
Nice product, like it so far. 2 things it need, a different airlock would be nice, don’t like the one that comes with it, too big and the other is the spigot diameter is too small, the beer drips out and takes forever. Other than that it’s great, holds 15 gallons!

Good, economical large fermentor
I bought this fermenter to allow me to make a double batch of wine (no that's not enough....). I'd previously been using a 7 gallon brew bucket to make single batches. Clearly this is a step in the right direction. I'm a week into 12 gallons of Lodi 11 Cabernet Sauvignon and I'm fundamentally happy.Things I like:1. Large capacity at a reasonable cost. Much more reasonable at $89 I've seen recently than $119 that I paid, but....2. Good design -- The bottom port looks to be at a good height to avoid pulling the trub (I'm a brewer, not sure if that's the right term for wine) when gravity draining. The build quality is excellent. Tiny amount of plastic and other manufacturing detritus inside the tank when I cleaned and sanitized. Handles are sturdy and work well.3. Like the air lock -- Wow this is a simple design. Like your standard 3-piece locks on steroids with 1 less part. Wasn't sure why it was so big until I realized the port diameter was the same as the bottom port and the solid screw-on lid fits on the bottom or top.4. Two FermWraps (40 watt heater strips) fit nicely - vertically and on the circumference. I don't know that I need two, but my basement runs 58-60F during the winter and I have them, so....5. Easy to store -- While I'd love a big stainless conical. This fits under my laundry room table (without the airlock) for storage. That conical would be wherever I put it for a long time.Things I'm getting used to:1. The method of clamping the top to the vessel is ingenious. It has a relatively large unclamped vs. clamped diameter making it easy to operate. The getting used to it part results from the secondary positioning clips. That they allow removal for cleaning and sanitization is a win. Getting it back in isn't hard, but takes a minute.Things I don't like:1. No Thermowell - I had to put the thermocouple in between the rubber stopper for the air lock and the port. I'm not sure I'm getting a great seal. I have a Fast Fermenter that I'm so-so about, but one feature I really like on that product is the thermowell. I can put the thermocouple in the well and get accurate internal temps without contacting the liquid. Cost has to be pretty reasonable. Really wish this had one.2. I wish this had volume markings molded in. That would be so easy to add. I had to use a magic marker with 5 gallon pours to calibrate it.3. The top gasket - I was impressed until I used it. While it looks like it could be well-retained to the lid with the nibs around the inside, it falls out with any more force than gravity. Sometimes it stays with the lid, sometimes it stays on the fermenter, but it has fallen into my wine too. I have to remove the top daily to push the grape skins around during the first week and find this frustrating.Summary -- I'm happy I bought this. It is much better than a brew bucket and my glass carboys don't work for the first phase of making a wine with grape skins. Would I have been happier with a nice 15 gallon stainless conical. You bet, but I drive a Ford, not a Ferrari....

It's big and it works.
I bought it to make multiple kits at one time. For that, it worked well. For single kits, I prefer a conical fermenter. However, it was as described and the quality is very good.

Horrible product.......
Had nothing but problems with the brew bucket.. From the seal, to the cheap material its made from. One of the handles broke while try to move over a bit, which made me drop it and crack the bottom of it, then out came the mix all over my basement floor..... a f-ing nightmare...... Made me give up a hobby due to the post traumatic stress caused by the mess and the clean up... I now see a therapist twice week and relive the experience daily.
