They are roughly 2 1/2 inches wide and 3 1/2 inches tall

Yes they run on batteries and it does include a battery. I believe it's a coin battery. There's a switch on the bottom of the gingerbread house that you turn on. The gingerbread house also changes light color as well.

This is a set of 3. Thought they were well made.
