I replaced a metal cover we had that kept falling off. I like how secure this is with the expandable feature to allow for cords. It was easy to install and had multiple optuoms for the tyoe of outlet or switch. It looks nice and works well so far. We will see how it holds up to snow in the coming season.

I have had a longstanding problem with GFCI outlet triggering after a rain, sprinkling, or even high humidity. So this looks to be the ultimate solution with the "bellows" expansion feature allowing an always on plug to be used. The Installation was easy and it does indeed expand to accommodate a single large plug. I do have a question regarding long-term durability of the rubber bellows and in time the plastic is almost sure to crack, but if I could get 3-5 years out of this all would be well.

Only concern would be the longevity of the 'accordion' expandable rubber and the two plastic locking tabs. Won't know this until some time has passed. One outlet is always in the shade and one outlet (not yet installed) does have direct sun exposure for part of the day. Thought about installing it in such a way as never have direct sun exposure. This should contribute to the longevity of both outlet covers.

To preface, standard outdoor outlet covers are simple -lift, plug, close. But, they do stick out a ways from a wall, and do not usually come in fashion colors. This style is better looking, and it works, but it's not so simple. Two clips, one on either side of one corner of the box, hold it closed; so, you press from 2 directions and pull up at the same time to get it open. Did that last sentence require too much thought? Yes, yes it did. Once open and with a cord plugged in, it does not pop out to accommodate the cord automatically - I have had to use a screwdriver or knife to pry the plate out when I want to plug something in. It was worth it to me, since I really wanted a more attractive works-while-open cover on the front of the house, but I do wish it was more convenient.

The builder used those monstrous clear plastic boxes outside. Unsightly and got dull in a couple years. These are perfect. Only and inch of so deep when not in use. Easy install and perfect fit.

These seem great in theory, but the latching tabs break pretty easily, especially in the cold. If I had to do my project over, I’d get more transitional covers.

I bought these to replace the typical outdoor outlet covers with the doors since I leave things plugged in when it is raining/snowing. The design is perfect as it keeps the outlet weather tight when in use and is non-obtrusive when not in use.

As a DIY Indlividual....Simple and professional instalation. Works as advertised. Far superior than the flip up design..

This product is easy to install and seems well built. I installed it a few weeks ago; after a few rainstorms, it's holding up well.
