This battery/recharger for my iPhone has given me more mobility. About 3 months ago my iPhone battery again began to lose charge more rapidly than usual. It has fallen in charge-holding capacity 3 other times. It comes in steps and is not a steady loss of ability to hold charge. I had to plug it into something anytime I could find one. I do not use lots of energy-draining apps, etc. I talked with Apple and they told me it was holding adequate charge! That's a laugh.Sop I decided to change the battery, or have a local Apple store do it. And I decided to get an external battery. AS it happened I got a kit to change the battery myself and completed the operation successfully. Then after a month it too just started losing charge holding capacity! Not a good sign! I had over a year ago read on all the battery draining operations and turn them off unless needed. Didn't matter, still lost charge rapidly. So I got my Anker 10,000 mAh battery charger. Enough for 3-4 full recharges. I keep it on hand for when no outlets are in sight, as when in the middle of the Antarctic continent or mid-sahara, or rappelling off half-dome, or skiing down Mt Everest. It's really a great tool, being just about the size of my iPhone 4s, a little heavier and thicker. I chose this Anker because it seemed the most useful battery/charger to carry about. I'm happy! And I am thinking of getting a newer model phone within the next 12 months. Will it be an iPhone 6 or 6 plus, or an android clone? I really am undecided. But that's another matter.

I'm buying a bunch of power/charging solutions for my e-devices for an upcoming week-long charity bike ride where I'll have long days riding and not much time to recharge at night. I have a large Anker battery (reviewed separately, and decided to get the power adapter rather than rely on USB charging. It arrived on time - and it charges the battery or other USB devices. So it works exactly as you want - my only gripe is the orientation of the blades - if you're plugging into a multi-strip, unless you get the socket on the end you'll be taking up space for 2 sockets!! If they were oriented the other way, then the adapter would point down, instead of across the power strip. I can see this not being popular if there's a bunch of people waiting to charge devices and there's a socket not able to be used.

This power charger (ac adapter) worked like a champ...right up until the time it stopped working. I purchased it 17 months ago, and starting about two months ago it became clear that a wire broke. The adapter now only charges if the cord is in a precise position that can only be determined by continuously checking to see if the charging light is on on the device. I dropped a call last night because I thought my phone was charging, but it had not. I will buy another Pwr+ because it worked very well and charged my devices more quickly than standard adapters. I suppose that $13 every 12-17 months is not too bad. I originally gave this 5 stars. I took away one star because I'm annoyed that the wire broke inside the cord (and am not hard on my equipment).

After considerable checking multiple brands from multiple websites, I settled on the Anker Astro E3 backup battery. It recommended the Pwr+ rapid charger. I read the reviews on this product. I always read reviews on products to help me make my determination. While the extra battery is a must, so is the rapid charging so the battery is always ready to use. We received the batteries and two chargers. When the batteries needed charged, we plugged in the Pwr+ rapid chargers. They worked flawlessly. They charged very quickly. (I did not time them but they performed as the device advertises, if not somewhat faster.) Anytime I need something, Amazon is the place I check. I have also purchased many items from the Amazon marketplace. Never had a problem. I always receive the items when promised and many many items come quicker than promised. I am a very satisfied customer!

Pros:> Nice long cable. Easily goes from the power strip under my bed, all the way to my night stand. Even have enough room to pull my phone onto my bed without having to disconnect the power!> Charges my phone super quickly, usually going from under 10% charge to over 80% in less than an hour.Cons:> Would be nicer if the plug didn't take up 2-3 slots on my power strip, but on a different shaped strip it would be great!> The connector tip housing is a little larger than I'd like it to be. Makes keeping it plugged into my phone with the case still on a little tricky. It'll stay in all night long, but it will often pop out of the phone when I pick it up in the morning.

The product works really well, it is well built and feels pretty sturdy. I actually like that it's all one piece instead of a usb cable because I don't have to worry about the cord getting loose with my noticing and my device not charging. It charges my 13000mAh Anker quickly as well as my S4. Other chargers have caused my phone to overheat but not this one. I like it so much I use it instead of the Samsung charger from the manufacturer. There is a little green light on the front that cuts on when it's plugged in that I think is a little but of a nuisance since it's next to my bed at night but that will definitely not discourage me from buying others of this brand to use throughout my home.
