A must read for Dollhouse fans!
Dollhouse is one of my favorite shows so when I saw that there was a graphic novel out, I had to get it. This book takes place after the first two seasons, before the Epitaphs episodes. We get to see how Felicia Day's character and her group originally got together. We also glimpse into the world of the survivors of the Dollhouse. The book starts with the synchronized phone call that started it all. It reminded me of the first volume of Y: The Last Man in that normal people are shown reacting to a sudden apocalyptic action.I recommend this to any fan of Dollhouse. If you aren't familiar with the tv series, this book probably won't do much for you. I look forward to more comics from this universe. I give this book a 4/5.

Loved this further exploration of the "Thoughtpocalpse."
Found it interesting that terms used in the epitaphs in the tv series were fleshed out and explained here. Tight writing and pretty good graphics. . .but altogeher too short. Need more Epitaphs in the future, to bring it up to the final Epitaph in the series, or beyond.

Good for Dollhouse fans
This comic is a short story between the episodes Epitaph 1 and 2. Dollhouse is one of my favorite tv shows and I have to say that I love this comic.

Great conclusion to another Wheadon show sadly taken from us ...
Great conclusion to another Wheadon show sadly taken from us too early - much more detail and a lot lengthier than the three firefly books too (put together!).Fantastic artwork too

a great continuation of the series
The only fault here is that the story is incomplete and volume 2 isn't available as of early 2015. This collection ends on a cliffhanger. If I had known I would have waited until the full story was finished. Other than that, a great continuation of the series.

Good filler
I hope there is a lot more where that came from... although the major questions where answered in the tv show there are still some questions unanswered. Especially concerning Whiskey, Topher and Adele.

A Great Show, But This Was A Big Letdown...
After reading my fellow reviewer's takes on this graphic follow-up to the great series that died a premature death, I was extremely disappointed by this softcover paperback. Almost none of the characters looked like they did on the TV show, rendering the entire project a mere comic book in comparison - forget what the cover looks like (a great job), this is just a bland visual to what was an absorbing and fascinating example of what the Whedon-verse was capable of. I would have preferred a paperback novel without ANY graphics to this. A huge letdown for me.If you watched the show from start to finish like I did, there's no way this trite comic can recapture the essence of what was a fantastic show populated by original TV characters and engrossing writing. In comparison, this is a comic-con(artist) I can do without. Sorry guys. Even sorrier that I didn't write what you wanted to read to you Whedonites (of which I am one). Pale by comparison.

Awesome
I really enjoyed reading the story, cool idea with the epitaphs because the tv show didn't go into much detail where that was concerned...like how Alpha became good? But it was fun to read and I devoured it as soon as it showed up at my door. Does anyone know if there is a second? I haven't been able to find any mention of one, so if this is it, that sucks horribly. I want to read more.

Great addition to the TV series
Unfortunately the series only ran on TV for 2 seasons. Fortunately a comic was published with good drawings and colouring. The story is interesting and a good addition to the series, filling in some gaps and explaining a bit more (e.g. how it came that in the TV series epitaph, suddenly Alpha was to be trusted). Although I'm still not fully sure about the continuity of the story. See for yourself!

Excellent appendix to the series
Excellent appendix to the series. Truth to tell, the arc played out in these pages is not really essential, but it captures a lot of the bleak wit and energy of the two season-finale episodes. Which is probably not surprising, given some of the writing talent working here. That post-"Hollow Men" setting comes with in-built limitations - after the tech apocalypse, there's less room for character development and nuance than in the show's present-day segments, and the lack of series leads for most of the the comic's run possibly lessens its emotional impact slightly. But for anyone who loves the story that Dollhouse told, it's a valuable bonus. Definitely worth a read.
