Great add on to Fields of Arle. Gives additional options when playing with some fresh ideas.

A perfect expansion. Seamlessly integrated resources and mechanisms. Effective 3rd player integration. 3rd player has the pace of Agricola with the complexity of Arle. Fantastic.

Love the option for a third player.

Love Fields of Arle. Finally got a chance to get this expansion for $45. It was running almost $100 at one point. That’s more than the base game. The addition of a third player is more of a novelty idea to me. It’s mainly my wife and I (and me solo), so the third player was not what I was after. The addition of tea, ditches, and ships was awesome. It almost feels like it was a part of the game that got left out. The tea adds a much more varying degree of where you can go, which can also lead to some major analysis paralysis. Overall setup and gameplay operates the same way, with the expedition of a 3 player game, but that’s easily done if you follow the rule book. One thing I noticed, is that it’s easy to forget about your ships, and the additional food you can receive from them. The expansions makes me think that it was trying to be like A Feast For Odin, but with 2 players. Tons of options, a table hog, and a point salad.
