I love these chestnuts
There's nothing like chestnuts in the fall. They are so wonderful with turkey dressing with lots of sage, ground pork and poultry seasoning. And these chestnuts are the perfect choice. Very nice quality. Moist. Already cooked and shelled. Couldn't be more convenient or more delicious.

It’s a good product
The package is easy to use. The chestnuts are soft and tasty. I use it to cook chestnut chicken. The results are very tasty.

U will like them
I have tried several different brands of chestnuts & this BY FAR have been the absolute best! They're moist NOT dry, quite lightly but nicely salted, good amount in each package for a very nice sized snack!

Pretty Good
These nuts have a decent flavor and NO moldy ones in the bags that I received. There were quite a fewbroken ones and some were in small pieces. For my taste, they were a tad soft. Another thing, they werepretty wet ( none were slimy ). You can take care of the wetness by using a clean dish towel and dryingthe wet nuts. Put them in a 350 degrees oven for 10 minutes, makes them taste fresh roasted (withouthaving to shell them yourself). They're worth buying, just a little soft and wet for me...

These have a taste and smell that is very similar ...
These have a taste and smell that is very similar to canned dog food. After I added a lot of salt, they were somewhat palatable. I wish I could return one of my two unopened packages, but it isn't returnable. I guess I will try to chop them up and put them in a recipe that will disguise their flavor.

Chestnuts galore.
Born and reared in Italy where chestnut anything is a favored food. Easy to carry hidden in your handbag so one kows why you're smiling. They used to sell them in front of Tiffany's (NY City on Fifth) back in the 1960s when a small bag of roasted chestnuts cost $5.00. The smell! Heavenly. My husband refused to pay the price and got into an argument, in Sicilian dialect, with the seller. I stayed and bought them with my own cash. Yea, people stopped and looked at us, but what the h**l, we where young and well dressed.

Ok quality
The Tru Star brand is far better -color, quality, flavor, color and size. These are from China and Tru Star are from Italy. These are cheaper, but prefer the quality and flavor, as well as the strict controls for the Tru Star brand from Italy.
