Screw heads keep breaking off
I'm not screwing into anything particularly heavy duty, just fir. I would probably have better luck with pilot holes, but three out of six screws failed.

Perfect screw for the job I had to do. I do recommend these screws. Sturdy and good price too.

The heads break off
I was building a bookshelf and drove in 12 of these screws. Of those, 3 immediately snapped. I predrilled and was only sinking them into 3/4 plywood. I figured I didn't want a piece of furniture in which 25% of the screw heads broke off, so I had to go out and get genuine screws from the hardware store.
