AMIGO Connect The Thoughts Kids Memory & Match Card Game

Love all of the amigo games. A few simple rules for each game and kids pick them up fast! They're a staple in our house that our kiddos play daily! Couldn't recommend more for a great birthday gift!

4 year old son loves it. My 8 year old daughter enjoys playing with him.

Easy to teach and play

I really like this game. The first thing that I noticed is that the box is small, which I consider to be a plus as it's easier to fit on a shelf or in a box. Inside are 80 cards and a bell. The cards are fairly sturdy; while definitely bendable, I wouldn't say they're any less sturdy than your average deck of playing cards.The art is extremely cute and friendly. And as I mentioned, there's a bell. You ring it. It's awesome. Who doesn't love bells? (Ok, maybe parents don't love bells, but the kids are going to love it!)The game itself is a great way to promote creative thinking, as the goal is to link cards together until one player gathers five. You link the cards by either matching two identical pictures, OR creating a chain of thought between two different pictures. For instance, you might link two cards by saying that the flower on one and the car on the other are both red, or that the bird on one and the donkey on the other are both animals. If you have little ones you might only play by matching identical pictures, and if your kids are older you might limit it to linking based on meaning. In that sense this game is really adaptable.I see a lot of uses for it. If you really want to get creative, the game could be a challenge to tell a story using the three images on the card! There are a lot of great ways to stimulate thinking and creativity here.

This is a take on and old-fashioned matching game, with multiple ways to match cards. It's not a turn-based game; rather, it's based on speed, which could prove a concern if you have children who are physically slower or who struggle with dexterity. Some of the rules set tasks for the youngest player; we decided to rotate those instead, rather than always having the youngest child get to do things no one else does.The cards are fun and brightly colored, and the bell stood up well to some vigorous ringing. Overall, this is a fun game for youngsters.

This is like a match game with extras. Meaning it can work well for a 4 year old, while also prove fun for an 8-10 year old.Let’s say for a 4 year old you can limit it to just matching Identical cards. Keep the game simple.But as they grow older you can start adding the full though association. Yo my can link 5 cards based on characteristics: 5 animals, 5 red things. Say ages 5-6.Then at 7 or so you can start linking 5 cards:- 1 blue cat (animal) + 1 red monkey (animal + red) + apple (red + fruit) + banana (fruit + yellow) + car (yellow)Pros:- decently quality cards- small box (easy to carry)Neutral- 80 cards total- bell... sure it’s fun but can get annoying. Kids like it for sure.Overall I can recommend this game!

The videos were easier to watch and learn then following the instructions especially showing my 7yr old and her friend how to play.While it’s a good Concept, my daughter would rather play the game SpotIt which is probably what this game came from. Her and her friend only played it for 5 mins and went to get her SpotIt game instead. We will see if we play it much more. I think if we play it we’ll make up our version of the game to keep their interested longer.
