Water pump rebuild kit
This was the second kit we purchased, the first from a differant seller and it did not fit properly

Great! Looks like OEM quality so far.
Replaced the water pump assembly on our 1989 mercury classic 40 4 cyl 2 stroke oil injected with this kit. It pumps water great! Had some extra gaskets in the kit that looked like they were for other models that I did not use. Installed as any water pump goes, not super simple, but they never are. Seems as good as OEM so far. Time will tell. I think that the one I removed may have been original from 1989! So if this one lasts that long I'll be very happy. Materials, quality, and castings / gaskets all seem quite good.

Good replacement for 1986 mercury 60 horse.
Great for the price! The only problem I have with the kit is the lack of a key way replacement, a full rebuild kit should include a new key way. Other than that it works great and installs as it should.

Perfect fit replacement for my son's 1984 Mercury Mariner 35hp outboard. It is pumping cooling water nicely again!

Does not fit 1977 Mercury 500 (50HP) 2-Stroke.
The two main gaskets and plastic water pump housing do not fit a 1977 Mercury 500 (50HP) 2-Stroke. The plastic housing bottom does not slide into the lower unit as it is bigger than the hole it's going into. Bummer as this part number matches up with the OEM part number in the Mercury Diagram. Buy something else for your Mercury 500.
