Not What I Thought
This book was not what I thought it was...perhaps i read the description wrong, but I wa not expecting a book with lists of schools. The information is also very outdated. The book was published in 1999. If the shipping charges didn't exceed the cost of what I paid for the book, I would return it.

Great Source!
Some of the web links published in book don't work, but otherwise you type in program information, and eventually find the info!!! GOOD BUY:))

Another useless book
A total waste of money. Perhaps the first chapter and one or two others with some information. But the schools are pricey and for the person who truly seeks an inexpensive trade alternative to the way-overpriced 4 year university, there is little useful information. Most chapters are on pet grooming, pet massage, alternative therapies and other nonsense certificates. Perhaps one chapter on anything someone with money might be willing to pursue. A book with this title should be useful to the person who truly seeks or needs to seek a viable trade. What about learning to be a shoemaker, and real apprenticeships, etc? The person who is not literate, is learning disabled, who truly seeks a "trade," a skill using the hands, this book is useless. Again, this is the last time I will be influenced by "reviews."

Excellent alternative career guide.
Love this little book...has lots of nice career ideas I have never heard of which is why I bought it. Lots of schools listed although they are American but they will give me ideas of where to look in Canada and some of them have correspondance.
