THE ART OF THE FOLD

Clever and Fascinating...
This was my Christmas present to myself. I spent my spare time in the holidays working my way from front to back making each of the examples. The instructions are clear if you have some experience with paper folding and origami. I'd strongly recommend using a Teflon bone folder, so not to mark your paper or card. I've lent it to my A level Graphics students and they're making good progress trying the various ideas too. This book will be a reference book for many years to come I suspect. Warmly recommended...

Clear instructions
This is a sound book, and the advice on how to fold a concertina accurately and over lengths of paper is worth the book's price. The book covers accordion folds, flag books, blizzard folds, one sheet books (that was a nice chapter) , albums and enclosures. Several of the folding projects result in objects rather than books which is less interesting to me. I knew a lot more than I realised having explored and experimented with folding paper into books over the years so not sure how much I would use this book for new folds but a really good to have a reference book with such clear instructions. Making Handmade Books by Alisa Golden inspired me more.
