Fantastic hunting, trap, skeet, sporting clays vest.
This vest is 3x the price at my local gun shop. Purchased a 2xl. Fit perfectly. used once at gun club, sporting clays. It has multiple pockets and the quality of materials is impressive. I was surprised of the overall quality and fit. And they even offer a left handed model. Great vest at an incredibly little e price.

GOOD FIT.
The product looks like a quality vest. The internal pocket for an deaccelerator is perfectly positioned. This is a gift and my grandson really like it.

Perfect fit
Fit was fantastic. I am 6'2" and 260 lbs with a 42 inch waist and it fit like a glove. As a competitive shooter, a good quality vest can make a big difference and I added a sorbathain pad to absorb some of the recoil. Works perfectly.

Great. But did this cause cheek slap? ??
Great quality.Decent enough price.Well fit with the gel pad (sold separately).Extremely handy for trap shooting (compared to just using cargo shorts or a pouch belted on the waist). Some negatives (but this could just be 'me' and not the vest):The gel pad pocket seems way too low. The gel pad is about six inches long and the top of it seems to start about a half-inch below or exactly inline wirh the top of where the buttstock actually touches the shoulder. That means a good 1/3 - 2/3s of the gel pad ain't even doing anything - it hangs down below your shoulder pocket down below the bottom of the buttstock.Maybe I needed one size smaller, idk... (do they even make em one size smaller?)Despite that minor issue it ACTUALLY WORKS! My first time shooting trap without a vest + gel pad I lasted maybe two rounds, the third round I was so raw that in was getting gun shy and caught myself subconsciously flinching before a couple shots even fired - hardly hit any clays then. WITH the jacket + gel pad I fired three rounds of trap and didn't feel anything afterward.Granted, my first time, I was rushing and didn't properly seat the buttstock to my shoulder (ended up a little on the bicep because of hurrying and getting flustered) so maybe my second trip to the range is more credit to.my better position than this vest + gel pad...I will blame one thing on this vest + pad: I didn't get any cheek slap at all as a first time rookie at trap. After buying this vest + gel pad for my second day at the trap range i got cheek slap real bad. Couldn't stand firing toward the end of the third round and had to call it a day. Real bad cheek for aost a week. So I think trying to seat the buttstock firmly into the gel pad ( which I perceived to be lower than it should be) perhaps changed my firing position. Again, it could just be 'me'. I'm sure I can fix my cheek slap AND keep the vest + gel pad. But I found it an odd coincidence indeed that absolutely no cheek slap before the vest and then busted up cheek the very first time with the vest. I am a small giy, too, so maybe it's that.Nonetheless, I recommend the vest + gel pad.

Sizing of This Vest is Important
Well ... I broke down and did it. Bought a size smaller of the vest I previously paid $70 for locally, which never has fit correctly. I have been wearing the previous generation of this model for 20 years and it is going to rags.Important Note: This vest is modeled for someone with the build like the Bartholow brothers, endorser/competitors for Browning shotguns! If your build is like theirs, a large will fit your like the upper end of a typical LARGE range, i.e, 44. However, if you are built more like me at 42L and don't want the vest to slide around on you, you will need a MEDIUM. I would say these vests run one size large for the average build. For a stockier build, they will run true to size. One caveat: MEDIUM on me, who stands close to 6 feet tall, is a tad short; but not that much. I am going to live with it. Particularly, as the internal pad pocket is in the correct place - high up on the vest within a fingers width of the top seam on the yoke of the garment. With menswear fitting experience and 20 years of Trap shooting in about 4 different vests, I feel the top seam of the yoke should be behind your collar bone at the Trapezius muscle, not resting on the collar bone or below. If the yolk seam rest lower, the vest is too large for you. If the seam is correct, but the vest seems short, live with it if you can or go to something like Wild Hare or perhaps a Beretta vest. Those were my choices. THIS vest from this supplier at this price was the right choice for me. Especially considering a local price of $170 for Wild Hare and about $98 here on Amazon.
