Under sink water filter works well.It did arrive later than expected, but wasn’t a problem.

I wish it removed fluoride from the water, but it doesn't. Better yet, it would be better if they didn't put that poison in our water. It may be helpful for your teeth, but you don't take eat toothpaste because it is good for your teeth, so why consume fluoride just for your teeth? As water filters go, I guess this is about standard for effectiveness and what it filters out of the water.

I change my filters for our drinking/cooking water annually, and these are easy to install. Our water is fairly hard, but it tastes just fine from these.

I use these filters as well as Pentek GAC-10 Drinking Water Filter (9-3/4" x 2-7/8") in my 3-sump RO (Reverse Osmosis) system. I really like that the water has to pass through the entire filter, rather than short-circuit from the closest point. This means it does a much better job of filtering. This filter would work just as well in a non-RO standard drinking water filter application.Note, these should not be used in high-flow applications such as a whole-house filter, as it will not pass adequate flow and will cause flow restriction and hence pressure drop.

Our well water has a lot of contaminates as shown by the water tests at point of entry. We have a whole house filter at point of entry and this Pentec CC-10 filter under the kitchen sink. This time I sent out the water tests from the kitchen faucet to see if the 2 filters were doing their job. I was pleasantly surprised at the great numbers that came back this time. The filters are working! I was ready to upgrade to a reverse osmosis, distiller or some product to get safe drinking water. I don't feel the need to do this now. I trust the Pentec CC-10 and my AquaPure whole house filter. I think I have the best tasting water around. I take my own to work...much better tasting than city water.

This is the 2nd stage filter in a Honeywell RO system on a well water system. The prior cartridges that I had been using would start to emit a foul odor/taste after approximately 30 to 45 days of use. These will go 90 days without producing any odor or foul taste. They may last longer, but I typically change this filter every 90 days.
