Digital King 0.45x 58mm Wide Angle Lens with Macro for Canon EOS Rebel T2i, 7D, T1i, 5D Mark II, 50D, 30D, EF-S 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS, EF 50mm f/1.4 USM

The lens is mounting on any existing 58mm lens, and there will be no electrical contact. So how could this be USM?

I've never used a wide-angle lens before, but I must say I'm disappointed with the way my pictures look after using this one. The picture is in focus only in the very center of the picture, and quickly becomes distorted the farther to edges you get. You get that typical black corner with this lens if you are zoomed all the way out. But for a different look now and then, this lens is good for that. However, the macro part is a complete disappointment to me. I was hoping to be able to use it to take really clear, close-up pictures of flowers or whatever else. But this lens can hardly even focus on a subject. It took me 5 minutes to even get it to be able to focus on my subject, and then it still wasn't very clear. Maybe I just don't know how to use a macro lens like this; but I was very disappointed with this lens. It's not worth it to return it, though.
