MCP Mathematics: Level A Student Edition

This is an older math book, but it meet the needs that I have. This book is straighford in its delivery of math concepts and it provides more practice on a skill than do most newer math books. This is not easy to find any more and I was elated when I found this on Amazon. I am working with a special needs child and this is a great text to aid our math instruction.

Shipping on this item was fast but I was not too impressed with the book itself. A great filler for in between classes but not enough substance in my opinion as a stand alone math for a smart first grader. I have two other children of which I homeschool and my youngest has had the advantage of listening to higher level math for several years. This was too easy for her and if she is not challenged she will not try.

MCP is my favorite brand of printed math curriculum and I've used a lot of it in 13 years of homeschooling. It is straight to the point and easy to use. My kids generally read through the instructions while I'm sitting next to them and then they take off doing the assignment.

We homeschool and this math book is what we use for first grade math. My 6yr old is picking up the concepts easily, and we love the way each new idea is introduced and explained. We are very happy with this math program.

I agree with the other reviewers. Kindergarten level. But we loved it and have ordered the next one for 1st grade. Really liked how it introduces concepts. We did skip a few pages when it was too repetitive but the practice is always good. I thought it had a good balance between doing enough work and the drill, drill, drill approach from my childhood.

We are using this for 1st grade math. It is a good, comprehensive book. I do supplement with games and some critical thinking activities. This is, however, a good foundation and excellent price.

Good book for repetition. There are word problems as well and goid book gor a first grader.

Me lo piden en la escuela de los niños. Es muy bueno y me gusta que no recibe cambios constantes como los de aquí que no te duran más que un ciclo y a la basura, así puedo conservar el del mayor y usarlo para apoyar a la pequeña que va dos años atrás.

llego en tiempo pero venia rota la portada ,por ese motivo doy esta calificación pero todo lo demás estuvo bien
