Great products
I’ve used other products from this company (mostly for our pool) and have always been satisfied with them. We noticed our water tasted weird lately and I was suggested to try this test. Test was easy to read and showed we had slightly elevated levels. Great test and affordable!

Only tests Fe+2 (Fe2+). Does NOT test rust.
The media could not be loaded. These test strips only test for Fe+2 ion. They will not test for rust.I tested my raw water, softened water, and RO filtered water and all tested zero for Fe+2.So I had to make my own Fe+2 water sample to test. This is easy to make: just connect 2 iron nails to a 3 volt battery and place in salt water. Within a few minutes you will have Fe+2 water (and rust). See video, watch for bubbles from negative terminal. My test showed a Fe+2 concentration about 10 ppm. So the strips work fine, I just have no detectable iron 2 (Fe+2) or Iron (II) in my water supply.

Useless
My well water tested at 2.12 mg/L of iron when we bought the house. Instead of installed a whole house filter, we decided to start with an under sink filter. I had hoped to save some money with this test kit, but unfortunately, it was a bust. I tested exterior water, unfiltered bathroom sink water and filtered kitchen sink water. On the left of is a strip I left in for several minutes, and on the right is a strip I used the 30 second method for more sensitive testing as instructed on the packaging. As you can see from my picture, everything looks like we have 0 mg/L iron. My rust stained toilets beg to differ. This product is junk and a total scam. To even shop their website, you have to register with your contact information. Very scammy.

They work! That is important for a test strip - -easy to use and read. I have to do it often.
What's not to like - good price per test, easy to read against the chart and I expect they are accurate chemically.

Iron in well water.
I liked the response of the test stick to changes in h2o2 doses to well water. However, it is hard to tell level of iron in water with given test color variations. Overall though it has worked the best out of several I have tried.

Accurate
Rust colored water from my faucet led me to purchase these strips. The test strip indicated high levels of iron. Installed better filters and now I use strips periodically to check on its functionality.

great home test
Great at home test! I’ve had my water tested professionally and this test was spot on. Biggest benefit from the home test is low cost compared to having it professionally tested.

Exact same result as the Hach professional kit used by my well driller!
These strips said I had 5ppm of iron in my new well (within the expected range of 3-10ppm for the area) and the Hach kit used by the driller said 4.5-5ppm - that's good enough for me.
