Great Basic Plug Cover
Simple but effective. This plug cover keeps dust and bugs out of the trailer harness port and holds up to rain just fine. It’s not a lock, but it’s tough enough to stay on during rough driving. I’d love to see a glow-in-the-dark or color-coded version for faster ID. For anyone hauling trailers or gear, this is a cheap and easy add-on that works.

Bad reviewers don't know how to use this READ
Fits great and works exactly as advertised. If you let this dangle in a downward facing position it will fill with water, hold the water, ruin your plug and prove yourself to be an idiot. You have to use this with a tongue jack bracket or some other apparatus that holds it in an upright position when capped and not in use. If you have sense enough to understand this then disregard the negative reviews. I especially like that this one clips back to the cable while in use rather than flopping around while in transit. Also, the ring that goes over the cord end is stiff! Use a screwdriver or something to help stretch it over the cord end. It will go! I think I saw some reviews that said they had to disassemble the cord end and remove it in order to install the cap. Wrong. You just didn't try hard enough. It won't break. Make sure it isn't extremely cold and stretch that sucker. It will go. Then you have a good fit that won't come off.

Very tight and water resistant
You need a round jack handle on your trailer for this to fit. If you don't have one they are inexpensive to replace. Hang it plug cap up and no water will get in. I thought it was overpriced until I received it and realized how well it is made. Highly recommend product and seller.

Great, but can trap rain
Love this. Highly recommend for all trailers with this type plug. As we spend a ton of time off grid typically, we are in gravel, dirt, etc and often the rain will kick up debris, causing it to stick to the plug. This prevents any accidental dirt & debris getting in your pins. One issue is depending on how it sits, the rain can get in there and not evaporate, causing corrosion.

Good product
Worked very well. Tight fit which is great for protecting against water and dirt getting to pins

Better then no brakes
Ended up having my trailer plug connecter get a little bit corroded from always being in the weather or what not. Checked connection before I left and 70mph on the freeway later my truck warned me it lost connection to the trailer. Even though I have an F350 my trailer weights 8,600lbs. Let's just say trailer brakes help out alot. I have since added connecter grease and got this cap to keep it clean and out of the weather. So far so good. Just make sure you warm this puppy up before you try putting the strap on. And make sure the connector isn't hanging facing down or this cap will fill full of water.

Cover keeps dirt and moisture off trailer plug
This cap for my trailer's 7-blade plug fits perfectly. It keeps dust and moisture out. The retaining strap stretched over the plug without breaking.

Not sure how I feel about this
I purchased this to cover the 7-way plug on my camper. While it covers the plug, I have still not been able to get the loop to go over the plug so it hangs on the cord. There just is not enough elasticity to the rubber to make it work. Or, maybe there is, but is does not feel like I can stretch it that far without breaking it. Still, I use it and just throw it in the truck while I a traveling.

Fits great, a touch tight but for sure won’t slide off. The clip that you clip to the wiring harness fits snug as well. The loop that you slide over the plug end so you don’t lose the cover was really tight to slide on so as a suggestion is to warm the loop end with a hair dryer or hot water to make it easier to work with. Overall I am happy with this product!

If the plug is wet & you cap it It stays wet & corrodes

I installed this when I installed a new trailer cable connector. Easy to use. Fits snuggly in place. It is an easy way to protect the trailer connector from dirt and debris and the elements.

This item arrived yesterday and I took it to my trailer this morning. The loop needed to be heated in hot water to make it pliable enough to slip over the 7 pin connector on my trailer. The loop and it’s connector to the cup could be thicker. I expect it won’t last long. The cup fits snuggly over the connector so it should be water and dust proof. The clip on the back of the cup also fits nicely over the cable to secure it when the connector is plugged into my truck. My overall impression is the item will do the job at least in the short term but it is probably overpriced by at least 1/3.
