F&G Supplies VMC Pilot plane model airplane complete rubber-powered balsa wood aircraft plane kit that really flies and easy to build - A fantastic starter kit!

Traditional balsawood construction. All the parts are lazer cut and easily removed from the sheets, unlike back in the day when tedious cutting by hand was the way. Everything needed is in the box apart from "dope" to stretch and waterproof the wings tissue covering so bear in mind that a small bottle of this can be half as much again to buy as the cost of the kit..but if you're into modeling you may already have this on the shelf. There is a book of very well written instructions which, if followed, will lead to a lovely small model that flies very nicely.

Fun

I like the fact that the finished model is robust & flies well. The slab fuselage sides make it quick to build but the very lightweight spars make it difficult to hold without damaging it during construction. I used it to teach my grandson,8, the techniques. He loves it!

Disappointing. Some Balsa wood parts slightly damaged. Use of PVA glue provided with the kit was slow drying and Balsa wood cement would have been more suitable.

Fun to make,had never done balsa model before,Alleviated the boredom.
