Solid product, but make sure you know what you are buying
This unit [ip2cc] seems incredibly solid. The documentation http://www.globalcache.com/downloads/online (none in box) is fairly vague. Everything you need to know is available online, but it is written much more technical than it needs to be. A bit of lay person speak would be nice. I suppose this isn't really a lay person product.....Tip, download and install the iTEST app, and read the "API" documentation to find the codes to send/get.The ip2cc is only a relay (3 relays in one unit). The unit will report the status of the relay when queried, but it does NOT work as just a sensor. When reading about this unit, do NOT confuse the ip2cc with the GC-100. Apparently the GC-100 has the ability to operate as a sensor or relay, or ?combination? The GC-100 is more powerful, and more expensive. The following in NOT an issue with the ip2cc, rather other products that work with the ip2cc:If you use the Vera Zwave unit, install the GC-100 plugin to control. the ip2cc. (more confusion) When using it with the garage door plugin, it latches, I assume due to the fact that the plugin is for the GC-100 and NOT the ip2cc. As a work around, you can build a scene to reset it upon activation after a short delay.
