I just didn't think she could get any better-- but she can, she did . More open space -- so appealing to modern quilters . Every quilt is different . So often books are just variations on a theme but lots of different ideas - straight piecing rather than her famous curves . She doesn't try to sell you a new ruler for each quilt . Where there are optical illusions she explains it so you can pick your fabrics . Wonderful book , and the controlled slide she uses is a great technique for any scrappy quilt.

This book is a review of techniques I used to use BEFORE I had Cancer and then immediately after lost my husband to a sudden death. I have been away from the innovating techniques I used to use and it was a great review. I most appreciated the clear descriptions of each section. I am not interested in projects but truly appreciate the process discussions.

I always like the books by Karla Alexander. Well written, easy to follow and understand.

I can't wait to try these. I am a huge fan of Karla Alexander. I think her work promotes creativity and artistic investment from sewers, as opposed to a lot of "just copy this exactly" type of quilting books that are on the market.

not enough variety in the quilts. Too many were very similar.

Ich habe vom Buch leider noch Nichts nachgearbeitet. Aber wie bei den anderen Büchern der Autorin ist die Anleitung gut verständlich, auch bei wenig englisch Kenntnissen. Ich finde das Buch gut.
