Denman Large Styling Brush, 9 Row

Someone has put in a lot of effort to rip people off.At first glance the brush looks real. The first thing I realised that was wrong were the sharp edges on the bristles (does not happen with a real denman). I opened the brush up and the bristle rows just looked different and cheap unlike a real denman. The back logo also looked a little funny. The spacing on mine is off and the n isn't as fancy as a real denman. It didn't even come in a box but a compostable bag. They even put the real Web and physical address on it.

In my 57 years I have always owned Denman hair brushes. I started with the D3 & when I grew my hair longer, moved up to the D4 which lasted years. My last D4 I have had for approx 10 year's & it was wearing out (see my pics of old & new!) so bought a new one this week.I know a few people have stated that it is fake but i can assure you the one I received today is definitely genuine Denman.The weight is excellent & feels just like the others I have owned & I like that they've not changed it over the years (why change something that's already perfect!) Oh other than the rubber under the pins has now been put into the handle (see my last pic) that would stop it ever detaching which a bonus.I bought when on offer at £7.40 so also an excellent bargain.

I used this brush many, many years ago (well, not THIS brush but an earlier version!) for blow drying longer hair and loved it. When it eventually needed replacing I replaced it with a Denman spiral brush, about 2.5" diameter - which I also loved. Now Denman don't seem to sell that size spiral version so I've reverted back to this style brush. It's great for blow drying my slightly shorter hair and turns round and round in the hair without snagging and without me having to stop and restart - it just keeps going. It's great to just brush through the hair. I don't know about a serious, professional blow dry, but it works for me at home. I love Denman brushes - all shapes and sizes.

Have bought this model brush for over 20 years. The quality is now much poorer - it's a lot lighter and the prongs don't articulate as well with the base, so it feels a lot stiffer and scratchier on the scalp. Doesn't have the same balance, but the lightness and balance might suit others.Was happy to pay more for the quality in the past, but this is not worth £10.

The main “body” of the hair brush keeps sliding out of the frame/handle! No use at all and I’ve had to buy a different hair brush already. This will only work on completely non-tangly hair that’s thinner than mine!
