Not 36” unless you stretch the heck out of it. It is 29” without the hooks. I had to add a 6” bungee to each to make them work for what I intended. Other than that, the quality seems good.

The closed-end carabiner hooks are a great idea that I think make these much safer than the usual sharp ended metal hooks, so that the springing force of the stretchy cord cannot snap back and risk injury to an eye or other body part. Seems like it could be a bit more stretchy, but so far so good. As for durability, remains to be seen over time. The hooks are affixed by some sort of tape wrap, so it looks it will hold securely. The neon color is also good for safety, and I like that it is a 2 pack. They should make these in the smaller sizes, too.

We purchased these bungee cords specifically to keep our pool cover rolled up. It works perfectly. We are very happy with this purchase.

Saves us from climbing up in the crown of the gazebo to remove our re-chargeable LED light. With the carabiner ends, the cord is securely attached to the gazebo and the LED light is securely attached to the bottom of the cord.
