Best anchovy
Hands down my favorite anchovy. Rich taste, not overly salted and very tasty.

What I could get off the shelf was not what was shipped.
Knowing this product is high quality filets of anchovy (when purchased off the shelf) I ordered this as that is what I needed. What was shipped looked to have been a bottle that was severely shaken or mishandled so that the product inside was not the lovely individual filets but some mush that does not separate neatly. I could have bought anchovy paste, I intended to buy filets. These were so mishandled that it is not usable for the intention.

Won't buy any other anchovies from now on
I wasn't sure what to expect from these anchovies, thing an anchovy is an anchovy. But I was wrong! This brand has a creamy, mild taste that isn't so salty or fishy that it overwhelms the palate. They were perfect for my late night grilled, anchovy sandwich and added the perfect depth to my Ceasar Salad dressing. This was worth the price!

For cooking you can use a lesser quality brand, but these are such that you can eat them straight out of the bottle: not too salty, not fishy at all, and just downright delicious. Best brand I've tasted, with the possible exception of another great brand, Merro. If you can, splurge a little on these at least just to know what excellent quality preserved anchovies can taste like at their best. Bon apetit. -- ffg

Great anchovies but pricey
I've been on a hunt for the best anchovies. I make KILLER GOOD CAESAR SALAD DRESSING as well as pizza. Both require anchovies. I bought Patagonia brand and they were more like sardines than anchovies. Fuller, plumper, but nearly tasteless. I bought Seasons brand and they were more like conventional canned sardines. Ok in a pinch, although a bit boney. But since they get mashed in Caesar dressing, they work. B|but But BUT NOW i have this jar of anchovies and they are almost PERFECT. Salty, firm, flat, and NO perceivable bones. A bit on the pricey end but in this case, I'll pay for this quality. Bon Apetit !
