Perfect fit with a little snipping necessary
This is the 2nd TYC air filter I've purchased. The 1st one was for my Honda CRV, which fit great, so I purchased this one for my Honda Fit. Easier to replace than my old CRV.As others have noted, the TYC filter has three strips of glue and require an easy snipping of the adhesive on the opposite ends. What you want is to be able to have the end walls separate from the rest of the pleats so you can seat the filter properly into the frame. It is a very easy step, a scissor or a knife will work, you may even be able to tear and separate the adhesive with your hands if you are careful enough. It's so simple, I wouldn't even dock it any stars. So, on the Fit, open your glove compartment, take out all the junk you have in there, just squeeze in the sides of the glovebox walls, drop the glovebox lower (it's hinged so it won't fall off) and you have access to the cabin filter frame in the back. Release the left and right clips and slide out the frame with the air filter. Replace with new filter and put everything back together.Remember to note the direction of the air flow (I believe it's downward) and remember to seat the filter properly. You should see a little "lip" like protruding plastic part on the frame (opposite ends). Slide your filter into this part (both ends), you want to do so or there will be air that can possibly get bypass the filter. It is because of this part on the frame and the full coverage of adhesive on the TYC filter that causes a conflict.UPDATE 4/1/15: added for reference, Honda OEM Part Number is 80292-TF0-G01Please let me know if my review have been helpful to you, it will encourage me to continue writing and updating my reviews, and leave a comment if you have any questions, I will be more than happy to answer if I can be of help.

Perfect for my 2009 Honda Fit Sport
Clean air is always important to me, so I make a point of changing my cabin air filter once a year as recommended. I only drive about 2500 miles a year, so that works out for me, the filter is dirty by then without being totally black. I have so many filters to change (shower head, air purifiers, water, car) that it would be hard to remember when to change what, so I have a ‘filters’ note on Evernote to remind me. This is a fine filter at a good price! It was easy to fold in sides of glove compartment door, then just push IN the side brackets on the filter compartment and pull out. Pop in filter with arrow pointed down and you’re all set! You can even add a drop off essential oil to it for scent and air sanitizing.

Purchased for my 2010 Honda Fit (non Sport)
If you need to replace your cabin air filter DO NOT take your car to the dealer as they will more than likely quote you an insane ($115 at my local dealer) price that will only take you 5 minuets if that to do yourself. This filter works perfectly as it is the right shape and in the box it even comes with instructions. The only minor problem is that you will have to make a minor modification with the filter which is that you will have to cut one row on each end of the plastic line that goes across the filter to set it in housing properly. It isn't a big deal though it is something that you will need to do extra. This is an easy job that EVERYONE can do on their own and doesn't take any mechanical experience to accomplish. I RECOMMEND this for your Honda FIT as it does the job right.

Cheap and it worked
This item was great! It took about 5 minutes to install and the instructions were included in the box. Make sure to grab a pair of scissors, though, because u gotta snip 6 ribs on opposite ends of the bottom of the filter for it to fit into the filter holder. It is kind of hard to explain without a picture but if you try to install it u will see that it doesn't go down all the way. When you lift the filter up u can see that there are two plastic thingy's sticking up preventing the filter from sitting properly because of the plastic ribs not allowing the filter to expand onto them. Clip those and it fits like a glove.Hopefully this review helps the next person trying to decide if this filter will really work and be easy to use, and trust me, it is.Will definitely buy another one when it is time to replace it.

Good price and easy to install
I figure it's about time to teach the teenager kid how to take care of their joy ride Honda Fit and show the viewers how easy to install a part that dealers want $45 to perform. Well, my 16 year old did it in 5 minutes following my verbal instructions. It did NOT require to cut 3 tabs as other reviews mentioned and fits perfectly. Make sure the FLOW arrow is pointed DOWNWARD which is label on the filter's side. Filter paper is thin but as long as it filter out pollen, exhausted gas, and filthy leaves, I'm happy.

Great filter, just slight mod needed
It FITS the Fit perfectly as long as you cut the three glue strips at the end of both sides of the inner part of the filter as everyone seems to indicate. The original Honda filter had glue ribs only on the top (inlet side) of the filter whereas this one has glue ribs on both sides, hence the need to cut the ribs at the very edge in order that the filter pleats can wedge into the plastic groove of the filter holder. Other than this slight modification, it fits perfectly and at a price much less than you'd have to pay from the dealer.

Not an exact fit
Had to peel off some of the glue that held the filter together so the ends of the filter could sit perfectly in the frame. The glue running perpendicular to the filter was preventing the filter from dropping into the frame all the way.Otherwise, a good build and a decent price.
