Q: Is the neck color like the one in the picture or is it it lighter.

The neck color is a light maple color. The actual fret board is a dark rosewood color. For an inexpensive guitar it's pretty impressive. Good action right out of the box no adjustment needed and pretty good tone. I actually enjoy playing it.

Q: How many frets does this guitar have?

Ibanez RG guitars come with 24 frets.

Q: What is the weight of the guitar? Comparible to a jackson js22 dinky? Thanks.

A little thicker and about 2 pounds heavier

Q: why does the metallic gray look brown in some of the photos?

It looks like someone uploaded pictures that were taken in much different lighting. In person, these guitars are more silver/gray and are not brown.
