MysticMop Replacement Mop Pad, White

These mop pads are essential for easily cleaning floors!! I have tried several versions of floor duster/cleaners and MysticMaid is hands-down the best!! I recommend buying extras of the duster pads & mop pads. The duster pads pick up dust, of course, along with small particles (eg, sand & dirt), large pieces (eg, kibble the dog didn't bother to eat), and fur (and my 100+ lb dog sheds alot). Then the mop pads clean the floor afterward.I use hot water to dampen the mop pad, then add a few sprays of Seventh Generation's Multi-Surface Disinfecting Cleaner. If the mop pad gets dry along the way, which it invariably will, I add a few more sprays of the cleaner. This method does not leave my floors as shiny as washing with a wood cleaner, but I know my floors are really clean, plus it's so little effort! This is so much easier than a floor steamer, and those often don't get the floor hot enough to disinfect, unless you buy a very pricey version!I love that I can dust my bedroom floor in 2-3 minutes by doing a quick sweep with the duster, plus another few minutes to clean it.It's easy to change the pads, which are attached with velcro. Plus, the duster and mop pads are washable, so although the initial investment is higher than with Swiffer, after years of use -- yes, I've had these for >7 years -- this makes it a much better value. The duster & mop pads work as well now as they did initially, too. The mop head is easy to move on the floor and goes under most furniture with ease -- although it can get stuck when I try to go under a certain dresser and my couch is too low for the MysticMaid to travel underneath.I have 5 of these duster pads & 4 mop pads to clean 1500 sq ft of hardwood floors, so that I can do all the floors at once then throw the pads in the laundry. I sometimes rinse the mop pads if they get too dirty along the way. Despite what another reviewer said, these duster & mop pads can go in the dryer; I've been drying them for years on permanent press without a problem, although I try to remove them from the dryer when the thicker duster pads are still a bit damp.I sometimes use the MysticMaid on my travertine bathroom floor (which is not smooth), and it does not glide as nicely as on the wood, although it still works to pick up dust, etc. The duster & mop also works well on another room with smoother 12x24" ceramic tile.I have severe injuries/arthritis, so I can no longer manage a vacuum or floor steamer, but this set allows me to keep my wooden floors clean. Highly recommended -- to get the set & extra cleaning pads!!

I too have gone through numerous mops and cleaning pads in an attempt to keep our kitchen floor clean. Even though I hated using the Swiffer cleanser and buying the replacement pads, I continued to do so since that the most convenient option that I found. Thanks to another Amazon reviewer (Heather Choi?), she said that she decided to use these Mystic Maid Replacement pads on her Swiffer mop. Lo and behold, it works beautifully! The Velcro section on the Swiffer mop clings on the MysticMaid replacement pad so you don't have to keep buying expensive disposable cleaning pads for your Swiffer. The BEAUTIFUL thing is that it works SOOOO much better than those flimsy Swiffer pads!! This has more scrubbing power, like others have mentioned, it doesn't distribute dirt in other areas - it actually absorbs the dirt you are trying to clean up into the pad then you just take it off and toss it in the washer to use again. I have 2...one to use, one to wash but I think I'll pick up another one simply for sheer convenience.I have not yet tried the MysticMaid MOP itself as this review is for the replacement pad but WHEN my Swiffer breaks (and it will as they always snap in the pole area) I'll buy one of the MysticMaid mops and give it a shot then will update my review.So regardless if you have the MysticMaid mop or not, if you have a Swiffer JetDry Mop, buy one of these pads to try. You'll be glad you did!!UPDATE: It's now about 1 1/2 Year later and the same initial pads that I bought are still in GREAT shape, still 100% intact (no fraying or anything falling apart), still work incredibly well. I actually have 3 of the pads now. Between a puppy, 2 boys and a husband - all who don't always wipe their feet off or remove their shoes, our floors can get pretty bad so sometimes it takes 2 of these pads to REALLY make my floor white. I plan to add 1 more so that I've always got a 'set' to go when I need it. I simply toss these in the washer and hang to dry and they are good to go! Tip: Be sure to not add laundry softener to your pad when washing it. Just detergent...I actually use 20 Mule Borax & White vinegar (to wash these pads) and it takes care of it. Love, Love, Love them!

It is a cloth that picks up dirt, but is it special? NO! Gets dirty quickly and misses a lot of dirt and pet hair. Not the magic picker - upper other users describe. Not worth the money. Went back to my regular broom, which I don't need to wash.

Works great on ceramic tile. Doesn't drag or get stuck in the grout lines. My only complaint is having to wring it out when its dirty. Having to take it off and on the mop handle and wring out the dirty mop is kind of annoying.

This replacement pad is for the best mop I've ever used. It's lightweight, has a low profile to allow mopping under furniture, wall mounted outlets, etc.. The mop pad attaches by a velcro-like material, rinses out easily and is machine washable. Having struggled with a wooden handled mop that didn't want to stay attached to the cleaning head and wouldn't fit under furniture, this mop and its pad actually had me telling people "You know how commercials have people (women, usually...) smiling as they wash floors, as if they're happy? Well, I would smile as I mop and it wouldn't be acting - the design really makes it easy, makes cleaning a floor much less of a chore."The mop and pad were bought at a local shop - when I went back for a replacement pad, they'd discontinued selling them. The counter guy gave me the manufacturer (MysticMaid)when I told him I had to have a replacement, that this mop was the best blah blah blah.... And I found that Amazon has more than music and books for me.

Not an actual mystic mop replacement pad - more like a soft microfiber cloth. Disappointing.
