Will this charge a 2017 Macbook Pro i7?

It will charge mine and I have an 85 W 2020 MBP

When i plug in the omni wall charger to the dc port, usb c output is cut off. is this correct behavior?

Yes. There is no pass through between USC-C and DC and vice versa. Even though it’s my biggest complaint with the 20+, I still love it!

Is this still tsa okay?? Will it be okay to bring to Hong Kong?

Not sure about Hong Kong but we’ve traveled throughout US and Europe without issue.
