Bought as a replacement for the original tiny XRT132 remote (which lacked menu, directional keys, or just about any other functions you need to properly operate the TV with current software revisions) that accompanied the Tablet "Remote" that came with my 2016 Vizio P65-C1. For some genius reason, Vizio did not offer ALL customers free XRT136 replacement remotes when then upgraded the P65-C1 from the Chromecast/Smartcast only interface to a true smart TV system with apps. Both before and after the software upgrade, I can not stress enough my hate for Vizio's Smartcast Android app. It was horrible and often unusable on the included tablet, and even newer more powerful android devices. It would register directional swipes and clicks about 50% of the time. It would lose connection to the TV at least once almost any time I used it (especially when trying to change settings), and that is with the TV connected to ethernet and a strong, otherwise problem free, wifi signal on whatever device I used the Smartcast app.But this remote is great and has solved 90% of my frustrations with my TV. It's well designed and works better than the horrible XRT132 and tablet combo that came the TV. Reception is impressive in both "straight on" and sideways "typing" positions (the remote has IR transmitters on the top AND side to accomplish this). Because it send out IR in multiple directions, it barely even needs to be pointed in the direction of the TV to work. All buttons function as expected with my P65-C1. There are some odd instances where specific apps (like Amazon) do not use a text input form that lets you use the keyboard on this remote, but that is an issue with the programming of specific apps, not this remote or Vizio's software. But for searching on the Smartcast home screen or in other apps like Netflix it is great! The keyboard buttons on the back protrude from the case, which is nice because they act like rubber feet and prevent the remote sliding off of things like other remotes. However it could also lead to the button labels wearing off over time, so I purchased one of the chinese silicone protective cases you can easily find on here for around $6. But most importantly I'm just glad to finally be able to use the updated smart app features and on screen menus on my TV instead of only the buggy, laggy as hell Smartcast app on the original included tablet remote. All in all a great remote that is totally worth the low price.

It works as well as my original VIZIO remote but that’s not saying much. I don’t know if it’s a flaw in my TV but even the original remote I always had to hit the buttons multiple times for it to work, especially if the battery isn’t brand new. The keyboard on the back seems to works better but it can be awkward holding it at the correct angle while typing especially if you’re putting in a password and need to change from upper to lowercase to numbers... it’s a total pain. Thank goodness I use the cable box remote for most functions and even when I stream now I use an HDMI cord to attach my laptop... trying to scroll through programs on Netflix or Amazon is a nightmare... I press it over and over and it doesn’t work and then it flies by what I want or selects the wrong show. Again though the remote that cane with the TV was just as bad so this may just be my TV.

Need to return my remote control,There is not way to make it work. I had new batteries and didn't work, and went to the store to spend more money in batteries becuase I touhgh that the batteries may bad for the control, so I tried the new ones and still can't make it work.Need my refund.

Remote works great! And for the price you can't beat it! This is my 3rd one, and the only reason for that is the first 2 were thrown and lost places when they broke! I still have 1 of my old ones that I keep for a back up that is missing buttons but works! Haha definitely worth the money!

I have ordered multiple of these. I have 4 TV’s that use them and a dog who likes to chew them up... however I used to get 2 for this price then it changed to just 1 remote. The most recent ones didn’t come with batteries like all the previous purchases. It’s still a good price for a replacement OEM remote but I wish the product would stay consistent each time I purchase them.

The media could not be loaded.  Two out of two ordered were inoperable and do not work. They couldn't possibly have any sort of QA, simply viewing it though a cell phone camera, is enough to detect if an IR remote is working. So I suspect these shipped without any inspection whatsoever. One of the two had recessed, "mashed" buttons as well.

The keyboard lighted up and worked the first time I tried it. The remote works for on, off, sound, etc. But the lights didn't work after the first week, and the keyboard didn't work again. Needs new batteries every month.

Everything works well except for the down arrow button which is essential. We thought it was our placement so we moved the TV to realize it's the remote and the return window closed. Would go a different route if I could have.

Funciona corectamente, el único detalle que veo es que el material de la tapa donde van las.baterias es algo delicado, pero funciona muy bien y llego antes del tiempo confirmado. Buena compra.
