I have now ordered 5 of these shirts in different colors. I read the reviews before ordering, especially about size. It's true that the shirts run large. I normally wear a large. So I ordered medium, and they fit fine. For me, the shirts hang perfectly with some form. The problem I have with shirts like these (kind of like hawaiian shirts) is they kind of hang on me like a muumuu. These do not do that, at least not on me. I didn't want to get the typical hawaiian shirt which people think that I'm really old then, thus the solid colors. And these are good colors. The shirts that I have bought, as far as the colors go, look just like the pictures. As far as some of the reviews saying they had problems after washing, I didn't. I followed the instructions, delicate wash (or hand wash in HE washer) and then cool dry in dryer. No problems with shrinking. They came out smooth. I hung them up without having to iron. Getting rid of old summer shirts, and wearing these now. One other thing, I sweat easily, but not in these.

This shirt is amazing. Granted, all the La Leela Hawaiian shirts I've bought are wonderfully comfortable and solidly constructed, but there's something special about this shirt that is unlike other non-La Leela shirts I've bought in the past.The solid color allows this shirt to be worn when one would never consider wearing a typical visually "loud" Hawaiian shirt. But to the wearer, it has all the comfort, breathability, and informality of wearing a Hawaiian shirt, because underneath its staid exterior it IS a Hawaiian shirt. But to the observer, it's simply a good-looking, classy summer-weight shirt that blends into any non-formal situation.Another factor worth praising is this is a La Leela shirt, a product from a company that has THE ABSOLUTE BEST customer service I've ever experienced on Amazon. Annie took the time to help me figure out what size I wanted two years ago when I bought my first La Leela shirts for a trip to Hawaii. She helped me again when a particular shirt I ordered was temporarily out-of-stock. And she again helped me when I was curious about the specifics of the solid print shirts I hadn't noticed before.I've ordered four of the solid print shirts and have found them as comfortable as the Hawaiian print shirts. My only wish is that there would be more solid color shirts from which to choose, and I expect that one day, there will be.I cannot praise the comfort, fit, and look of this shirt enough, and I can't praise the customer service of this company too much. It's a joy to work with them and I look forward to buying more of their shirts in the future.

Was the most expensive of the 3 shirts I bought at $26.45. After the first wash, the fabric bunched up into tiny little balls all over. I couldn't brush, lint tape, or pick them off. See photo. Too bad, I liked the cut and thinness of the fabric, but is now a yard shirt after wearing it out once. I own a nice washer/dryer, and everything else is fine, so chalk it up to the fabric they use on the shirt.

Generously sized. Ordered other brands 4XL and they were not 4XL’s. Terribly frustrating to have to return shirt after shirt because they are not sizeedvproperly. This one is lightweight and comfortable I bought it for Mexico along with four other shirts from the same brand and I think they’ll work just fine. The washing instructions worry me as they recommend handwashing, Let’s be real that’s not gonna happen, so we’ll have to see how they hold up. Also they are quite wrinkled out of the package I’ve hung them up and will see but I think they’ll have to be steamed. Seems like good value for the price and being a big guy tied to find decent shirts.

I’m vertically challenged and overweight. Most casual button up shirts I wear are XL but (assuming the shirt isn’t too long) it’s a little bit of a coin toss whether it will be XL or XXL. In this case the answer was neither. XL is an ok length but too tight, so I returned it for an XXL. XXL is like trying to wear a tent, way too long, way too big, I’d need to grow at least 4” taller 6” in circumference to fit in that shirt . So it’s going back too. Looking at their size chart I can’t see how that could describe the shirts I received.

I bought this shirt for the light rayon material, and it was definitely light. It's a little on the stiff side, though, and didn't want to let go of the wrinkles it picked up from packaging and shipping. I'm sure they would wash out and might hang out with wear rather than time on a hanger.But I can't wear the shirt. First of all, the color is significantly brighter than I expected based on how the image displayed on my screen. I can live with that. But... Second, the tailoring is awkward in almost every possible way:1) The shirts hang wide and formless like a mumu.2) The V-neck to the top bottom goes really low.3) I can't can't even explain what's wrong with the shoulders and the collar, but they are somehow to high and too far forward, so the shirt lays on me in a way that neither looks nor feels good.

An Additional Review: be careful when washing and wearing thus shirt. The blue die runs/rubs off onto everything: in the washer, onto underwear -everywhere!! Even skin!!If it's still available, please refer to our first review. Oh, it's a cool shirt in a gorgeous color. Now you know there are issues we've wanted to share with you!Would we order the same shirt again? Probably not!!Please -- Be sure to PREWASH AS INSTRUCTED! Ordered the shirt in dark blue (his favorite color!). We didn't prewash, though; guess we were in a hurry to change and go!. Even after 3 washings, excess blue ecolor is still washing out! The beautiful dark blue color 'bled' onto white undershirt and some of the color transferred to his skin!Still: Knowing all about this TLC for just one beautiful shirt, I'm sure we'll order more! As long as the shirt is washed with other darks, GENTLE CYCLE, IN COLD WATER AND WOOLITE, pretty soon - no more running color!!

Very nice shirt. Good finish. Thin and lightweight but not in a 'poor quality' way. Definately a good cool summer shirt. Only thing I should mention is these shirts are VERY big compared to UK sizes. On UK High Street I'm at least an XXL but usually a 3XL. I ordered an XXL as read they are on the big side. It buried me! Could cross the front over like a dressing gown. Sent it back and went for an XL which fits perfectly. One thing to note and which I find strange is that as sizes go up on this shirt, the inch range increases in a fairly uniform manner. However, the jump from XL to XXL is huge. Much bigger than all other size increases. Final thing I'll say which is neither good or bad but just a fact is that the length is quite short compared to the size. So both the XL and XXL were both a good length for me (I'm 5' 11). If you need a large size and you are also very tall it may not be long enough for you.

Bought this for my husband it fit good but only gave three stars because the length is rediculous I had to take it up by three inches,maybe make them shorter.also I think the colour will run as the tips of my fingers were coloured after I had taken it up.maybe something else to look at.

I wrote a review on one of the other colors, just to recap it.I'm a typical 4XL user, but wanted a loose fit for summer shirt. So took a 5XL - But to my surprise i got something resembling a tent :DIt was simply to big / loose :D So i ended up ordering another one, this red shirt. I took a 3XL and thought let's just try it. It fitted perfectly just the way i wanted it to - Snug and yet lose. Very nice fabric and quality.

I'm usually a shirt size 5XL and it's a very loose fit, so I could easily get away with a 4XL.The fit around chest and shoulders is so loose that even if it's a short sleeve shirt the sleeve ends below the elbow. I'm quite muscular, so I imagine it would fit even worse on someone with a more average build.Quality is actually quite good, but the fit is just terrible. It looks like I'm wearing a circus tent, or like a small boy wearing his fathers shirt.
