Blaylock TL-33 Universal Coupler Receiver Lock

There's three different sets of holes to put the locking rod in. There really should be more to give more options. I bought two, one for my toy hauler and one for my dump trailer. It fit great on my toy hauler but it wasn't a great fit on my dump trailer. The hitch on my dump trailer is a Bulldog brand. The hole that seems like it should be the best for security was just an eighth of an inch (3mm) too tight so I had to turn it around and use it in another fashion that doesn't look quite as secure.

I wanted to be able to lock a trailer used by a half-dozen different people, and ordering keys for the more conventional coupler locks was troublesome and cost prohibited. I took a chance on this one, and it works fantastic. I am able to put a combination lock on using this, so no more fumbling with weird shaped keys. This is a solid cast piece, and it has been roughly ground, so the finish isn't super beautiful, but it is also as solid as a rock.The three heights of holes for the crossbar help it to fit many different sizes of couplers.

i flattened the pin just enough to fit a puck lock on it. a hasp lock just seemed like a weak link. any lock can be defeated with enough time and the right power tools but this seems solid. aluminum is hard to cut with a hacksaw type blade or a grinder wheel, it just wads up and jams the blades and wheels to the point they wont cut. i dont rely solely on this. that would be foolish this lock is combined with several other security measures but its a great place to start. for the price you cant go wrong.

Used on my 2-5/16 travel trailer (A frame) coupler because other coupler locks with integral locks were corroding from harsh coastal environment. This way I can replace lock as needed. Seems a little loose (wonder if a crowbar could remove/break/bend it) so only gave it 4 stars. So I agree with other reviewers that it is one level of deterrence.

We are pleased with the lock. Any lock can be defeated, but it is a good deterrent. If I recall from the packaging it is aluminum and the locking rod is steel. We have a big Tex and a no name trailer.Edit 5-19-20 I was finally able to upload some pictures to go with this review, someone had requested some. These are our two trailers The big tex is the photo taken at an angle and our no name is the head on photo.

Pretty decent works great,it wont stop all thieves but it will for most, had to weld a piece of metal on the front of my coupler to make it harder to pry off but work great

I do not live in a high crime area so the lock is mostly a visual anti-theft device for when I am away from the property. It did work on a "hard to fit" hitchplate configuration that other locks did not fit.
