Best Engineer Boots I've Owned
I'm just about 50 years old and owned a few pair of Engineer boots over my time thus far and these are by far the best boots that I have ever owned by a far margin. They look and scream "high quality" and I have gotten quite a few compliments. While the toe box is roomy, I feel they are somewhat narrow in the width so I ordered a half size up and with a thick pair of Wigwam King Crew socks they fit just perfectly. They are stiff at first and will take some time to break in and I did notice that it was tough to drive with them the first time I wore them. Stepping on the gas and break were challenging at first, but they already loosening up.IMO they were worth every penny when they were first released for $800, but I got them marked down at $232 bucks ~ which for me, makes them the deal of the decade.

Excellent Boot!
I have many pair of Frye boots, and these fit perfectly as usual. The only Frye boots that are too tight on me are pointy toe type (I have wide feet). Craftsmanship is excellent on these, and they are very comfortable. The only thing I would say that could be a "negative", is that the shaft of the boot is fairly large, so tighter legged pants won't work. You need more of a "boot-cut" pant to go over the boot fully. Also, there is no lug to the sole, so boots like these are a little more slippery than ones with treads. If you need lots of traction, consider one of their similar boots with lug soles.

you won't find leather more superior than the Horween hide on these boots
If you're going to have a pair of boots that normally retail for close to $1,000, it may as well be these. First off, you won't find leather more superior than the Horween hide on these boots. They're handmade in the USA. You can wear these with anything, they dress up and dress down with ease because of the evident craftsmanship. I normally wear a size 12, but I got these in an 11.5 and they feel fine to me. The quality is impeccable. These boots could probably outlive their wearer most of the time. Just give them some time to break in and you'll be fine.

I was so happy to get these boots
I was so happy to get these boots, couldn't wait to wear them but I did take my time to break them in, everything was good until I walked a couple of blocks with them, they were so uncomfortable, they have a big break (no support) right where the heel ends (middle of the foot) that is actually painful when I walk, I don't think they have the steel shank that is suppose to provide the support in the middle of the boot. And since I took my time breaking them in, I can no longer sending back for an exchange. I will probably take them to a shoe shop to see what they can do to fix the problem.

Gorgeous and well made!!
These are gorgeous and very well made boots. The leather is fantastic. I have 4 pairs of Fryes and these are the best. Expect break in time. They are not real comfortable for me but better than at first. I expect after time they will feel even better.
