Great for string lights and plant support
Bought this for supporting climbing plants, and it's working well. The vinyl coating prevents the wire from cutting into stems, which was my main concern. Construction: The 7x7 strand construction keeps the cable flexible and easy to work with. The vinyl sleeve also protects your fingers from getting poked by any unraveling strands (happens easily with bare cable). Durability: 304 stainless steel core holds up fine in most environments. The vinyl adds extra corrosion protection. If you're in a coastal area with salt exposure, 304 can start rusting within days — upgrade to 316 stainless for oceanfront use. Weight capacity: This works great for string lights, trellis, or lightweight hanging projects. For clothesline use, I'd keep it to 4-5 light items max. Wet jeans or towels would probably be pushing it — if that's your main purpose, I'd consider a heavier gauge. Packaging: Comes wrapped around a plastic spool, which I appreciate. Some cables ship on wooden spools that cause splinter — this one doesn't have that problem.

Rock Solid Cable That’s Way Nicer Than It Has Any Right to Be
This cable is surprisingly high quality and feels like it could survive just about anything. The stainless steel core is sturdy, the vinyl coating is smooth and well applied, and nothing about it feels flimsy or cheap. It’s flexible enough to work with easily, but once it’s in place, it feels absolutely rock solid. Functionality? It works great! I used it for outdoor hanging projects and immediately trusted it with string lights, planters, and anything else I didn’t want crashing down unexpectedly. The coating gives it a clean, finished look and should help protect against weather and wear. Also, 100 feet is a generous amount, so you won’t run out halfway through a project and have to get creative with knots and hope. If you’re the type of person who gets oddly excited about good hardware, this cable will make you very happy. Strong, durable, easy to work with, and clearly built to last. Excellent quality and well worth it.

This is some nicely manufactured coated stainless steel cable
This is some nicely manufactured coated stainless steel cable. While it doesn't have the strength of a 1/8 inch cable, these 1/16 inch cables do a great job for hangars and runners where load-bearing use-cases aren't in-play. I like the vinyl coating for outdoor projects.

Coated Cable
This spool of coated cable is a quality-made product. The steel is uniform and strong with a vinyl coating that is consistent throughout the length of the spool. The strength will be adequate for many uses around the home. The included sleeves are user-friendly and function as they should to hold the cable tight. The spool it comes on is very helpful in keeping it tidy. This size offers superior strength, flexibility, and ease of cutting, which is important for a home handyperson. Great value for this spool, I will be buying a few more for various projects around the home and garden.

Great for outdoor decor
I use this to anchor outdoor decorations for both Christmas and Halloween. The vinyl coating helps protect both the cable and my decorations from premature wear. The black color helps to hide it from view at night time when the decorations are meant to be viewed. The aluminum sleeves that come with it are sufficient in number that I can make many anchor cables. Unfortunately, to be used most effectively a strong, dedicated crimper is needed. A set of linesman's pliers will work, but not for total security. I live in a fairly windy area. Winds tend to be 5-15 mph with rare calm days (thank you giant mountains and huge lake). The cable is easy to cut, provided a good set of cable cutters are used. Again, linesman's pliers can cut it, but not as easily as the right tool.

Great value, nice cable
This reel of vinyl coated cable is a very good value for the money, given the high quality and quantity that you receive. The coating is well done and will help the cable be very durable to last in all kinds of outdoor environments. It is great for a wide variety of projects. I plan to use it for hanging outdoor lights over our patio. We get very high winds and rough winter weather, but I believe this cable will hold up well. I highly recommend it!

Solid vinyl coated stainless wire rope for spanning between trees to hang outdoor lighting.
This is a 500’ reel of wire vinyl clad wire rope. The stainless steel wire rope itself inside is 1/16” and the total diameter including the vinyl is 3/32”. The wire is stainless steel and looks to be a quality spun material. It came with the crimp connectors but I intend to use them with the connectors that you use for cable railing instead. The cable slips easily into the included crimp connectors. these would work well for spanning between trees to hang outdoor lighting.

Good to Have on Hand
I am glad to have this small spool of cable on hand as I do a lot of different projects and crafts. The cable is covered by plastic and will unwind a bit when that is removed. Use some decent tape to hold the end in place to keep it tidy. It is strong cable and easy to use. It would function well for light to medium duty things such as a clothesline. There is a lot of it so it should go pretty far. It is also compact and easy to store. I think all that makes it a good value.
