I'm on a journey to lose weight and get healthy. I thought making my own fruit juices would be one way to help. Freshly prepared juice without any funky stuff or added sugars seems to be the way to go. Here are the things that stand out to me about this juice extractor. It has a large feed chute so that you can fit whole vegetables and fruits without the need for chopping or cutting. It's small enough to tuck into the corner of your counter or inside a cabinet. Probably around the size of your average blender. Easy to clean, which saves a lot of hassles. And...it is safe to put it in the dishwasher if you want to clean it that way. The instructions are clear enough for a beginner such as myself to understand. I look forward to using this as I strive for a healthier me.

I've had the TUUMIIST Cold Press Juicer in my kitchen for a couple of weeks, and it has proved to be an excellent addition. Large feed chute is very handy-no need to chop fruits and veggies into small pieces of food, saves lots of time. I've thrown whole apples and big carrots inside, and that did not cause any problem; it handled everything with ease. My previous juicer had small chute and everything had to be chopped into small pieces to fit them inside. Another plus about this juicer is that it works quietly, considering you use it very early in the morning. It extracts quite a good amount of juice, and the pulp comes out really dry, so you know it's maximizing the produce. The masticating function seems to preserve the nutrients quite well, and the juice stays fresh longer. Cleaning is surprisingly easy because most of the parts come apart in a jiffy, and it takes minimal time to rinse everything off. It is also well-built, sleek, and silver in design, so it will look great on most any countertop without taking up a lot of space. Overall, it is a pretty reliable juicer, efficient, and easy to use, and very easy to clean. If one were thinking of a juicer that would fit into a healthy lifestyle, it would be worth considering.

I haven’t done much with juicers, so my perspective is more of that of a beginner, and this was an interesting experience. My initial impression is that the Tuumist Juicer has a really cool look - it has a matte finish with a sharp contrast between the copper colored knob, gray body and white lettering - someone thought through the look of this device and it shows. However, my impression of using the device fell a bit short of the looks. The dial knob has more of a cheap plasticky quality about it. It’s functional, it just doesn’t feel very elegant compared to the overall design. The base, or main unit also has this same low quality vibe about it. It all looks great, but the feel doesn’t quite match. Also, locking and unlocking the various pieces is a bit sloppy. I feel as if a distinct locking or “click” is missing when securing components, which made me wonder before powering it on if everything was assembled correctly. This is especially true when aligning the juice bowl with the main unit as it feels more difficult than needed, it’s something I suspect you would gain a feel for over time. Fortunately everything was aligned and assembled correctly and the juicer worked as expected. When reviewing the manual there are many warning and use conditions which left me with the impression that this device must be babied. For example, the requirement to remove peels, defrost items, and the need to drink the juice as soon as possible as it cannot be stored in the fridge for multi-day use feel a bit onerous. Not that these are completely unreasonable requirements, they just conflict with the positioning of a high power juicer - even my portable blender can blend frozen strawberries, and I can store blended smoothies for days on end. Beyond the warnings and use conditions within the manual, there is the large sticker on the juicer pointing out various other warnings and caveats. In my experience this is indicative of a poor design. The best products are those which may simply be used without much user thought or consideration. The power cord is a bit short. Not overly short, but somewhat shorter than my other kitchen appliances, so you’ll need to position it near an outlet or power strip. In terms of operation the unit runs smoothly and efficiently. There’s motor noise, but it's not excessive, maybe a bit louder than a high powered blender. I did find that some fruit pieces became stuck at the bottom and wrapped around the blade. The pusher was too short to reach them, so on occasion I would have to stop things and resituate the fruit pieces; this was a bit of a hassle. I was juicing mandarins, so perhaps this would not be a concern with larger fruits and vegetables. The result - in my case mandarin juice, was excellent. The juice was very orange and appeared very vital, and above all, it tasted great! Also, the juicer extracted a fair amount of juice. I only used four small mandarins and I was impressed by the output. Something that has always kept me away from juicers is the complexity and mainly the cleanup. In this instance, cleaning up was fairly easy and straightforward. I think cleaning would be much easier after I become more familiar with the device through regular use and assembly/disassembly becomes second nature. Overall juicing feels to be a bit of an ordeal for a small amount of juice, but the produced juice appears very healthy and tastes delicious, so perhaps this is something that will become more effortless over time. I do wish that I could produce a whole bottle at a time to drink throughout the week as I don’t see myself breaking this thing out and going through the process on a daily basis. Maybe I’ll experiment with this sometime. Overall the Tuumist Juicer is a great option if you’re seeking a means of making homemade juice. As far as juicers go, it’s fairly easy to use and clean. There are some minor drawbacks, but overall it’s a great juicer.

I love several things in this set: 1. This juicer is relatively larger than my other ones, so this one is truly a family size juicer for my family of three juice drinkers (the fourth is a tiny baby on formula). 2. The metal free mesh filter is great and easy to wash and clean. 3. The "reverse" motor function is super and I use that when the machine jams up (usually happens with celery and other high fiber root veggies). The motor spins the other way and de-clogs the jam. I then use it regularly again. While those are some cool features, the compact size, solid build quality, ease of use, ease of cleaning, and overall nice design makes this a great juicer.

So a health scare got me to changing my diet and started juicing again. The TUUMIIST Cold Press Juicer is something I'm appreciative of. I really don't want to drink the commercially prepared juices where there's a ton of sugar. I like the wide chute but I'm still chopping the fruits in quarters, removing the seeds etc. I like that this juicer is easy to put the fruits in and I get the fresh juices out. Easy to clean. I recommend this.
