Mel Bay Flamenco Guitar Solos Paperback – March 1, 2002

I have all 3 of the books on Flamenco Guitar written by Marraccini: You can tech yourself Flamenco Guitar; Flamenco Solos 1, and this present volume solos 2; in the order of difficulty. They all progress step by step in intensity and difficulty. This Volume 2 being the most difficult at intermediate to Advance level! But, if one practices, even this level is attainable! The songs on the CDs are by themselves alone, worth the price just to listen to, especially CDs of Vol 1 & 2 of the "Solo" series! Recommended for anyone, but recommend taking in order for best results, but not really necessary.

A cool collection of solos, but definitely not for beginners. If you listen to the CD you will realize just how much practice it will take to get up to the speed and consistency of each song. Beautiful music all in all. The CD is a nice bonus to just listen too.

This is great for some easy interpretations of difficult falsetas, without compromising the duende of the piece. It includes 10 pieces and all of the audios are online. I would, however, advise students to focus on compas and rhythm more than Marraccini does, as he loses compas a few times throughout the songs. I do not want this make people think they shouldn't purchase this however because it is a great inexpensive tome of falsetas and compas, and some unusual palos not seen in standard flamenco literature.

Marraccini's first book, gives techniques, exercises, as well as solo songs to practice and is excellent for the begginer as well as more advanced player. This book, Flamenco Guitar Solos is exactly that, a collection of Solos. It's a great book to practice the techniques learned in his first book or to use as a first book on learning Flamenco since it does have a accompanying CD, which makes it easy to try to sound like he does before employing your own style. Recommend it highly.

A nice to hear solos, very close to paco pena toques flamencos ,yet with less difficulties .Good for 2 to 3 years of experience guitar playing

As with book two very satisfied with variety to the usual flamenco study works. Very satisfied. Enjoyed both one and two C.d.s just to hear as background while I do other things about the house. Very good value for money. Amazon arrangement for delivery excellent.
