I’ve bought this particular type of burner twice now, which has lasted the longest of all the burners I’ve tried. The first one was great, until the coil warped, making it difficult to insert the tray anymore. Even so, I got more use out of it than any other burner (went through three toaster type burners in two weeks, smh, and the standard type always results in busted coils within the same time frame). Just received my second one after a period of unavailability, and I have no worries about it. The quality is trustworthy in comparison, and so far so good.

this unit heats up coals super quickly. it dwarfed the time my normal charcoal heater takes to get them red hot.

The potentiometer switch does not completely open the circuit, so I do not leave it plugged in, as it still draws a tiny amount of energy. If you can find a slightly better manufacturer to get a coal burner, I would recommend it.

Chord is a tad short. Be cautious of your smoke detector haha. Takes a little over 5 minutes to heat coals & gets VERY hot

No UPC on box, instructions were misspelled, and made no sense. That alone should have been a sign. Had my coals in there for less than 5 minutes and this thing started flaming up. Was really dangerous . House was full of smoke and smelled bad. Thank god I as able to put it out. DO NOT BUY!
