Pentair 460771 Stainless Steel MasterTemp Grey/Almond Heater 0-2999 Altitude, Natural 250 ASME

Ive been in the pool industry for quite some time and this heater has a reputation for being one of the best on the market......Hayward makes decent pumps and filters but i would not recommend their new heaters to anyone... I personally like the entire design of the master Temp....small, and durable plastic like shell. The enclosed heating chamber is great for keeping the gas orfices clean and "bug free"... if you've owned a heater before then your probably aware of spiders making webs in the gas orfices preventing flow to the ignitor... ..water chemistry is extremely important with any heater and if you have a chlorinator be sure to install a high quality check valve ( Pentair, Jandy or Waterway) to prevent high levels of chlorinated water & gas from backing up into the heater when the system is off.... if you have a Saltwater Pool install an inline Zink Anode! (Pool Tool Zink Anode) is what we use... would also like to add that my experience with our local Petair rep has always been great.

Pool heater does not work. Contacted seller who advised me to contact Pentair. Really! No help at all. Had to email Pentair that is the only way to communicate with them. Still no response. Heater will not light. Very frustrating since we wanted pool ready for memorial day weekend. Paid a lot of money for a product that does not work. Seller did not even try to troubleshoot just washed their hands of the problem. So who refunds my money for a defective product?
