Q: Does the little green light stay on all the time?

No. You can set it to three different modes in the Meross app. 1. On when the switch is off (Night light mode) 2. On when the switch is on (Power indicator mode) 3. Off all the time

Q: can I use a standard “screw-in” plate/frame with this switch, or must I use the included, snap-on plate/frame only?

please use the plate inside our package. your original plate needed screws to fix the it, but there were no plate screw holes reserved on our product.

Q: Does meross switch require an ipad or homepod or apple tv for remote control?

Yes. Local control requires nothing additional, but HomeKit remote control requires you to install an iPad or HomePod or Apple TV in your house. Please go to Apple HomeKit website to learn more.

Q: The description for this product states "15 Amps", but down here in the Q&A the supplier states it is rated for "400 watts " which is true?

It says 15 amps because most house circuits are hooked up to 15 amp breakers, its only rated for 400W output to a light though. However you do no need your light switch to be capable of sending 15 amps to a light that would trip your breaker 400W is fine
