I shopped until I dropped as they say and Amazon has a wide selection of shawls to say the least. I would like one then read the review looking for that thin cheap fabric comment because I have been burned with it looks great online until you get it then it's junk you have to return and it's just a waste of time and discouraging. So I'm not jumping into anything and though I found something only to find it's going to hand to long on me at 5 feet tall or make my full figure look even bigger not flattering at all. Then I saw this basic simple shawl and I like the fringe on it and I really checked the fabric and it said it provide warmth and is very soft. The fabric was not transparent nor looked heavy and the price seemed more in keeping with a higher quality product so I took a chance and ordered it! WELL, it just arrived and I oppened right away and it's perfect absolutely what I was looking for simple, very nice looking, soft and will provide just that extra protection while sitting at an outside function and still look dressy but in a caual way. I'm going to order some other colors now. This is a true review you will be happy with this shawl.

I bought two of these, I loved the first one I bought so much. They're super soft and voluminous. I wear them inside while reading at night or working at my desk. I tend to wash most clothing items before wearing, which I did with both of these using a little fabric softener in the rinse. After they came out of the dryer, they were soft, their colors vibrant. In addition to a shawl, I can see someone using this as generous scarf, bundling up in one before heading out into the cold.

I wanted a warm wrap for an upcoming long flight, but I didn't want to risk losing one of my alpaca wraps (which came from Peru). I thought this was a nice price point and pretty color. This is a much nicer wrap than I was expecting it to be -- it is as soft as any cashmere wrap I own; folds up quite flat, and the color is gorgeous. This is 30% wool (doesn't say what animal) and 70% polyester and they managed to get a very nice mix in the fabric. Technically, "pashmina" is an animal fiber, equivalent to cashmere, but the term now seems to be used for a particular size of finely woven wrap. So, "pashmina" this is not, but it is very nice, and I'm sure it will be a delight to travel with.

This is a great shawl despite the color description. "Shrimp paste"? Really? I'd call it a warm taupe.

I need this for a shoulder wrap when traveling to cold climates. Just opened and was extremely pleased with the size as I am not a small person . Size 14-16 and the fabric was very soft with just enough weight to make it sit well on shoulders. I would buy this again if I needed other colors
