Either it was broken or it needs a level shifter to work
I used a standard library and it 3.3V power and it did not work with my Mega. It seems the board does not even have anything to do level shifting. So either my bmp 280 was broken before it even arrived or it is broken now since it does not even work on arduino due. Getting a new one now. Seller should mention such stuff.

Temperature and Pressure can only measured. Humidity sensor is not available with this Product.
