It works well but you have to be kinda quick when using it because the felt tip will dry up on you. If you need to take a break, put the cap back on asap. Other than that...its a good product.

My tires definitely look sweeter with white lettering but it takes forever to do and the pin is kind of cheap to say the least. It does work though after you get the dab and wipe technique down. Definitely takes a few coats per letter as well.

The nice thing is when you apply the lettermate you can wash the truck and the tires and it just stays on for several weeks its been 3 weeks now and i havnt had to re apply the white yet..I have tried several others out there on the market and i find that lettermate is the best.

BOY... WHAT A PROJECT I HAVE ON MY HANDS NOW!!! THIS PROJECT WAS ALL ABOUT WHITENING A BRAND NEW SET OF GOODYEAR TIRES ( notice the picture..right??!!) ON MY CAR. LONG STORY.. .. DINGY BROWN FACTORY LETTERING ON BRAND NEW TIRES... CAR WAS GOING INTO STORAGE COUPLE DAYS AFTER TIRES WERE PUT ON. MY FATHER BEING THE BEST!!!... TOOK MY CAR IN TO THE GOODYEAR STORE FOR THE TIRE PURCHACE, INSTALL, WEIGHTING , ECT... MYSELF BEING ..(( OCD )) WHEN IT COMES TO BLACK TIRES AND WHITE!! LETTERING DIDN'T HAVE THE HEART TO COMPLAIN ABOUT THE COLOR OF THE LETTERING. i FELT, AS I KNOW HE MUST HAVE TOO, THAT THEY WOULD CLEAN UP LIKE MOST DO. THEY WOULD NOT WHITEN UP, NO MATTER HOW HARD I TRIED. I PUT THE CAR IN STORAGE AND PLANNED ON DEALING WITH MY DINGY BROWN LETTERS SOMETIME THE FOLLOWING SPRING WHEN THE CAR CAME HOME. MY FATHER DIED OVER THE WINTER... AND SO DID MY HEART FOR THE CAR...4 SUMMERS LATER ....I DECIDED TO GET THOSE TIRES LOOKING GOOD SOMEHOW AND DRIVE THE CAR AGAIN , AFTER ALL... MY DAD HAD BEEN SO GIVING OF HIS TIME AND TALENTS WITH THE CAR, I KNOW HE WOULD WANT ME TO ENJOY IT AGAIN, AS I HAD IN THE PAST. I PURCHACED THIS PRODUCT KNOWING IT WOULD TAKE TIME AND PATIENCE TO DO THIS RIGHT, WELL..... I TRIED A VERY LIGHT FIRST COAT, STREAKED DID NOT FILL IN WELL...WAITED FOR DRYING TIME ...LIGHTLY APPLIED AGAIN ....SMALL TIP WAS LIKE PAINTING WITH A BIC PEN.... TORE APART SMALL PIECES OF A STENCEL SPONGE TO STIPPLE IN PAINT TO FILL IN SPARSE AREAS (NIGHTMARE) MEANWHILE GETTING SICK TO MY STOMACHE THINKING " NOW I'VE REALLY SCREWED UP THESE EXSPENSIVE TIRES". 2 HOURS LATER AFTER WORKING ON ONE TIRE, I QUIT... NEXT DAY LOOKED AT MY RIGHT FRONT TIRE DETERMINED THAT THESE TIRES WILL !!! LOOK GOOD , DECIDED THAT A WIDE TIP PERMANENT WHITE MARKER SHOULD DO THE TRICK IN FILLING IN THE COLOR, AND WON'T LOOK "FAKE" PAINTED. KEEPING MY FINGERS CROSSED THAT PLAN B WORKS. IN CASE YOUR WONDERING... THE CAR IS A BLACK 77 CORVETTE AND I'VE HAD HER FOR 14 YEARS.

Amazon's price was the best I could find on the 'Net, and delivery was quick. The paint goes on rather thin, but two coats get the job done. The paint is more durable than ordinary enamel, but it isn't bullet proof. It will scape off in time and need another coat.

Looks good for first few days then gets brownish. Used on a car that sees road only on cruise nights and after 2 nights looked dingy.
