Newbie Tape In Honest Review
This is my first time ever having extensions and I got two packs of the 20 inch tape ins. I installed them myself after only ever installing tape ins ony friends hair. So this is my honest review as a total newb. First off I was slightly worried about the striping of colors of the extensions out of the package but I found after they are in my hair you can't see any stripes and they blended really well! My color match is very good however I realized I probably would have needed one thats darker blonde at the root and fades to ash blonde. The insta was relatively easy. It took me probably ten minutes to get the first one I'm but once I did that it was smooth sailing for the rest! A octagon mirror would have been super helpful but I made do with a standing mirror and my bathroom mirror. My hair is naturally thin and fine and blonde. So being able to conceal them was and still is my biggest concern. I focused mainly on the back of my head at first then added pieces to the sides ofy head. I waited about 72 hours later to actually wash my hair at which point I was very nervous cuz my hair was super greasy and I had a ton of hairspray and dry shampoo in my hair. After washing them and my hair was all fluffy and clean they were concealed perfectly and had I straightened it they would have been even more beautiful. I do have one extension that I placed a little too high on the side of my head that I'm thinking about removing and moving it a little lower. The feeling of having them is definitely something to get used to. Im used to just running my fingers on my scalp and I forget and then touch my head and I can feel it yanking a hair or two. After about a day or two they were more comfortable to sleep in. Im using a children's silk line beanie bonnet thing that adjusts tightness on my head to sleep in and protect my hair. I have never had long or thick hair iny life and I'm 33 and I can tell there's added weight. If I wear my silk beanie too long it gives me a headache. I think these extensions look absolutely beautiful and I think trimming them would help blend them however I cannot bring myself to cut them cuz 1. They're too pretty and 2. I plan on reusing them and idk how I would place them back in order to get a good look again. These tape ins are not the invisible edge and I think for my hair type that next time it would be better if I did get the invisible edge. The other thing is that the tape ins are wide for my hair which makes it slightly harder to conceal even though they are just standard width for tape ins. So another thought I had to help blend these the next time I do them is to fold one piece in half on my hair to make it smaller instead of making a two piece 'sandwich'. And tbh if installing these myself, that might be the easier way to go instead of trying to align both pieces up behind my head which was the most difficult part. Overall I love these extensions and trust me as my first ones ever I shopped around and these were an excellent price and the quality of the hair feels amazing!! They did lose some of that brand new hair softness feeling after the first wash but it only made it feel more natural. After more practice with tape ins I plan to try microlinks to compare the concealed-ness. Very worth it and I'm on love with my hair!!! Pics should be in the order of first installed, first outting and styled, first wash when wet and after first wash and air dried.

Great starter extensions!
This is my first time ever having extensions, so that’s the point of view from which I’ll be evaluating these extensions. I’ve been having issues with hair thinning for the last year and my hairdresser finally sold me on the idea of tape ins. She recommended that I try these Full Shine hair extensions from Amazon because she’s had other clients wear them, and they’re very cost friendly for a newbie who may not end up liking extensions (spoiler I love how I look with extensions. The extra work is worth it). Up until this point, I assumed that hair extensions were always in the thousands, so I was very surprised to be able to buy the two packs I needed for $80. She had me buy a pack of 16 inch and a pack of 14 inch. I bought extensions lighter than my natural hair color and then hand dyed them myself using the dye I put on my roots and the color came out beautiful. I purchased extensions that had highlights in them, so that when I dyed them myself, there’d be a lot of dimension in the color, and it worked out. My hairdresser placed these, so I did have professional installation, and you can see the results in my before and after picture. Pros: these extensions are soft to the touch, and they actually blend really well with my thin fine hair. However, even though they feel soft, they’re definitely a coarser hair than mine, which is great because that means they actually hold a curl. I can curl these with a 2 inch barrel, let them cool, and then brush out the curls, and I have amazing waves that hold all day. I’ve been really happy with the texture of the hair. I wore this set for six weeks and none of the tape slipped with me washing my hair about once every 5 to 7 days. I did use heat styling on these and everything was fine. They felt heavy at first, but after the first four or five days I got used to the feeling and as they started to grow out they became more comfortable. I had them taken out at six weeks so I could re-dye my roots and move them up. Cons: these extensions definitely shed a lot. In the six weeks I wore them, everytime I brushed my hair there was hair all over the sink which has never been a problem for me. And when I was cleaning them up and examining them for reuse I could definitely tell that the used extensions (versus the few leftover new ones we didn’t use) were about 25-40% thinner than the new ones so these extensions do lose hair rather quickly. Some of the ends got pretty scraggly. That being said, even though they were visibly thinner, I still went ahead and re-taped them and had them installed for a second six weeks. My hair dresser ended up trimming off the raggedy ends. The after picture attached is actually day one of my second six week cycle so those extensions are six weeks old. I think 12 weeks will probably be the max for these extensions before they are too scraggly to rewear, but that’s still really good for $40 a pack I think. Another con is that they don’t come with enough tape strips to fully re-tape all of them. My hairdresser had to give me some from her stash. If you are brand new to extensions, I’d say for sure give these go. But I’d recommend having them professionally installed if you can. I think there is an art to placing these so they are comfortable and concealed, which is what you get when you pay a hairdresser. Ulta has good rates for a professional installation.

Great price for the hair, I get the 22" shade #1000 white. They are very soft. Ive tried multiple expensive brands for tape ins to find what works the best for me and these ones are very good and I've purchased them multiple times. Will buy again!
