Arguably the best thing about Smeg products is their retro styling and fairly wide assortment of color options for them. Yup, it's a one trick pony. Yup, it's an expensive one trick pony. But, it is good at what it does, it is easy to clean, easy to operate, and yeah, it's fun to use as well! It looks super cool on your counter making it worthy of the space it takes up. If you juice a lot of citrus for cocktails, or whatever else, this thing will save your wrists, eliminate the frustration of using manual juicers that slide out from under you, don't quite extract all the juice without tons of pressure and are difficult to clean. Initially irritated by the price but in the end can't imagine not being spoiled to death by this gadget.

Looks great. Works really well on first use. Much quieter than my old plastic juicer. Easy to clean. I am only giving it 4 stars because the catch bowl that the strainer sits on top of - for the juice is plastic. It would have been nice if that had been stainless steel to so the juice would not come in contact with plastic at all. But with the spout the juice can be directly drained into glass so at least it isn't in contact with the juice for very long.

What can I say. It's Smeg. Always top notch products. I bought the coffee machine, espressso machine, kettle, milk througher, hand whisk. What can I say, I'm addicted to Smeg. Next comes the full size refrigerator, just have to sneak past the wife.

Beside the great retro look, functionally: it is pretty quiet and does a great job of juicing w/out tearing the flesh out. The extra is made of heavy metal and should handle the pounding of many citrus fruits this season. Very easy to clean. Nice compact size that takes minimal storage. Not our 1st Smeg kitchen product: happy for it to replace an older juicer and joining our growing Smeg family!
