Not sure what "hold any reasonably sized drawing pad or canvas" means. Is there an actual max size? Thanks

Seems to hold all the basic sketch pad sizes, but I would not use it for painting. It is well made and comfortable. The storage compartment is not big enough to hold my zipper pencil sets. The angles are good.

Will this support the weight of 250 pounds?

It’s pretty sturdy and stable- I would think so but Mfr may be able to tell you if it has a weight limit
