She's perfect! A 1960 reproduction issued in 1995
She's perfect! A 1960 reproduction issued in 1995, she looks exactly like what I'd expect to see sitting on a store shelf. The only thing wrong with her was that her box had a crushed corner. But, that wasn't a problem for me as I wasn't looking for a perfect box, just a perfect doll. She meets that perfectly! A reproduction of one of the original style dolls, she's shaped differently than the 1990s Barbies I grew up with and are much more different than the Barbies made today. Her toenails, fingernails, nostrils, and lips are delicately painted a light red. Her eyes face downward in a sultry expression. The dress! Don't get me started on such elegance! She looks like she's just stepped out of the silver screen. Barbies today, even with their fancy dresses, don't seem to pull of the same regal look as the 1960s Barbies do. I'm very glad to have her in my collection!

Might Have To Redo The Do!
Barbie is beautiful and the dress is simply stunning. However, I am very disappointed with the hair. Once I removed the doll from the package her whole hair do just fell apart!! The rubber bands literally broke into pieces and fell off!! It seemed like the top part of her hair, the part that wraps around the pony tail, was glued or something and that too came all undone. I will be able to put her hair back together with those mini black rubber bands but it's just a shame that I have to. I read other reviews about her hair and bought her any way hoping it would not happen with my doll. Well it did, so all I can say is, if you order her just know that you might have to redo her do.
