Muse - The Easy Piano Songbook
S**K
"Easy" is still difficult, in the world of Muse
This "easy" piano songbook is only slightly easier than their "regular" piano songbook and is not very suitable for a new piano learner. You would still need to be at a pretty advanced level to comfortably play the music in this book. The non-easy songbooks feature more synchopation between the left and right hand parts, as well as separate lines for the vocal melodies, so that the "difficult" songbooks match very closely to what the instruments play on the band's recordings. Contrastingly, in this "easy" book, the right hand oftentimes plays the main vocal melody and the left hand plays a simplified version of the baseline. However, with even with that being said, because many Muse songs contain technically complicated instrumentation and difficult-to-sing vocal parts, this doesn't make the sheet music in this book "easy." It's just "easier" compared to the insane smattering of notes in some of their regular-level songbooks. If anything, the slightly simplified rhythmic changes in the left hand/bass line in this book can sometimes make it a little more difficult to play the sheet music as it is written, since if you're familiar with their recordings, you might feel a slight tendency to play the exact rhythm you may be more accustomed to/expecting to hear, and the missing rhythmic patterns/melody embellishments can make it easy for the player to lose his or her place in the music. 3 stars for the sheet music, 5 stars for the song list, making an overall average of 4 stars for this book.

Good transcriptions, but "easy" is optimistic.
Transcriptions seem accurate, and are well arranged for solo piano, but it's not what I would call "easy", exactly. I've not been playing long, but my feeling is that this is definitely an intermediate book. Beginners best look elsewhere.

When it says easy, they mean easy for a professional musician
I bought this for my kids 12 and 10 who've been playing piano for five and four years. When it says easy, they mean easy for a professional musician. For kids it is difficult. But it will still see some use since I can play it. :)

Amazing.
Really helpful for a fan of Muse like me. I decided to purchase this after seeing them live at the O2 in April. I am Grade 4 level and most of the songs are easy to play, though there are still songs that will be easier for people of lesser ability. If you play at a higher level, then there is also a song book that provides for grades 5-8. Overall, a really great book for Musers alike!

Good Book
The book is of excellent quality. I'd say "easy" is a bit strong though. Plenty of sharps and flats in each piece and many octave changes (very muse like I suppose). I'm a grade 5 and found most pieces quite tough.

Good selection. Not too hard.
Cool selection of Muse songs. I'd say that they're around level 5 or so.

This has become my most favorite piano music
This has become my most favorite piano music! I used to be grade 7 but haven't played properly in years and I'm not very good at sight reading so some of the pieces I'm struggling with but I'm really enjoying playing the piano again, so pleased I got this book.

I know it's the easy piano songbook
I know it's the easy piano songbook, but still it was kind of annoying when you knew the song but the simplified score seemed off. (Especially for United States of Eurasia - Chopin part)Still it was worth it though to have those songs which aren't available in the other piano songbook.
