Great, compact, useful kitchen tool.
I've been using this for over a year, now, and it's still perfect for all my Mandolin needs. The adjustable thickness is wonderful to dial in with the screw. It cuts cleanly. I'm super fast with it compared to a knife as I always know the slices are going to be perfectly even. It's a solid piece of equipment and easy to just throw in the dishwasher on the top specials shelf so no one cuts themselves when taking it out. The knife edge is super keen. I like that it comes with a holder for the last bits of any vegetable, and the julienning blades have all the thicknesses I've needed. The fry cutting width makes for skinnyish fries, but when they're perfectly even they all cook the same time anyway. Love that I can slice a whole onion, a whole potato, or all kinds of things on this, including making zucchini slices for lasagna so easily. Love this thing. Best thing is that it packs up very tightly, so I don't have to relegate that much shelf space for it and its extra blades.

Size up
This is the best slicer you can get. Works great and washes easily. The blade is incredibly sharp, so be very careful and safe. I cut myself being careless with it. Always use the provided guard. This size is a little small making it a difficult to slice larger onions, tomatoes, and lettuce for example without cutting them into smaller pieces. So if you are worried about that, size up.

Cuts like magic
An amazing slicer! Cuts very accurately and uniformly. Only wish is that the depth of the slicer could be "saved" as it is just a dial to make the slices thicker or thinner.

Slices large taro like buttah
Great mandoline! Bought it because it is wider than the average mandoline. Its sharp blade easily slices through large taro. Perfect taro and potato slices every time.

The search is over
This is the third mandoline slicer I’ve tried. The other two I returned but I’ll be keeping this one for sure. Pros: 1. By far, the sharpest blade I’ve seen on a slicer. The two Oxo models I tested were so weak in comparison. 2. Designed well and so simple to use. The three additional blades easily screw into place. The whole thing can be rinsed under the tap to clean. They don’t suggest putting it into the dishwasher because it is plastic, but it feels sturdy and strong. 3. The main blade appears to be removable so it can be sharpened. Love that. 4. It’s size is compact and much easier for storage. Cons: 1. This model is smaller than most. The cutting surface is less wide. So far, that’s not been a problem, but you do have to cut the foods to make them fit. There are wider models (for more money). 2. No kickstand. The slicer can be placed over a bowl or held with the other hand while using, but I did like other models that had stands. 3. The three additional blades don’t store under the slicer. They’re just loose. I’m afraid I might lose them. Other slicers incorporated storage of blades on the other side. The Oxo 2.0 has the blades built into the slicer and they raise with a turn of a knob. That’s clever, but I don’t image those blades are easy to replace once they get dull. These, on the other hand, would be simple to change out if they do get lost. Overall, this is the one I like the most because it does what I want it to do and it does it very well. I wouldn’t recommend wasting your time with the Oxo slicers. Just get this one or one of the bigger models.

Very Sharp!
I bought this because I like to make potatoes au gratin, and having uniform potato slices is key to the recipe’s success. Once I figured out that I needed to remove one of the installed blades, I was able to get my perfect slices. I’m not sure why they have the blade that makes the tiniest strips pre-installed, but I had to look up a video on how it works. The included instructions weren’t that clear to me, but then that might just be a ‘me’ problem. I bought safety gloves to go with, and I would recommend to everyone to take the same precautions. When you how sharp it is you can see how people might lose their finger tips with this thing.

As authentic a Mandolin as I could find on Amazon. It is of good size and the blade seems high quality, capable of the thinnest possible slices. I have had it over a year and it has stayed just as sharp and it has no staining, the plastic is quite dense and stable. I was so leery of plastic but couldn’t find a good quality wooden one. A quality purchase that will serve for years.
