Support for a Company reaching for excellence!
I've been using two of these for a few months now for my glass Kombucha brewing vessels. All in all, I am very happy with them. I paid more for them than similar items available at the time because of the higher reviews for this particular manufacturer, but I see that they are offered for about 20% less at this time than what I paid for them (I paid $20.99 each). I am not sure if they are superior to others on the market or not - I am wondering about the quality of stainless steel on the others, and whether these might be solid stainless rather than coated, to justify the additional cost. (I would be interested in the manufacturer's response to this.)I put my Kombucha-brewing 'on hold' a few days while I awaited their arrival. They arrived when expected, but one of the spigots was threaded incorrectly, and the nut did not fit. I notified the company (which was very simple, since they were staying in close contact with me by email after my purchase), and they sent a replacement out right away, not even asking for me to bother with returning the defective one. This glitch delayed my brewing for several days - not a huge problem, but definitely an inconvenience. I had asked for over-night shipping because of this inconvenience, which they did not provide, but the replacement did arrive in about 3 days.As for the function of the spigots themselves - they're very nice! The flow is strong, and I often back it off somewhat so as not to lose the carbonation in the Kombucha while bottling. Although there is a tiny bit of play in the handle as others have mentioned, it does not seem to affect the function at all.I have a couple of tiny nit-picks on the design which may only apply to my purpose of using the spigots for bottling liquids:1.When the liquid enters the neck of the bottle, it's necessary to drastically slow down or stop the flow. After that, I need to put a tiny bit more liquid in to bring it to the desired level. When doing this, it is impossible to predict which way the liquid will flow, and there is often spillage unless the bottle is held so that it surrounds the spout of the spigot, in which case you can't see the level of the liquid (unless your bottles are clear). To clarify: The liquid does not come out in a solid downward flow (such as from most home water faucets). It 'catches' on a random side of the spigot, and the trajectory is unpredictable.2. Because I am bottling liquid which has already carbonated somewhat, it would be nice to be able to attach a length of silicone tubing to the spigot so that I could fill the bottles from the bottom, up. This would help preserve the carbonation from the rapid dispensation into the bottle, and also prevent the spillage mentioned above. The tapered spout on this spigot makes for a handsome design, but for the purposes of bottling, it prevents attaching a filling tube.As a post-script to the issue with the threading - I had the defective spigot examined, and rather than an irregularity or 'burr' in the thread as I expected, it turns out that it was machined to the wrong thread count. (I hate to just throw this into a landfill, and wish I was able to find a stainless nut in that thread count so it could be used by someone!) It looks like this company could use a bit of 'quality control' before shipping their products out, and as indicated by a one-star review, and the manufacturer's response, it seems they are doing a bit of experimenting. The spigots I received were apparently part of that experiment as well, as they do not have the bolt on the outside, but it has not been a problem at all for me.All in all, this seems to be a company which cares about creating a superior product, and is dedicated to customer satisfaction. I'd much rather extend a little patience toward a company which is reaching for those high standards than to put up with the junk which is so often peddled these days.I expect to be using these spigots for years, and if for some reason I have a problem with them, I suspect it would addressed with fairness and professionalism.

Best Choice for Off Grid, Gravity-type Water Filters
While I haven't used it for a long period of time yet, it works very well. Uses a thick silicone gasket and mine came with a spare one. This spigot replaced the plastic one on my Crystal Drop water filterĀ Crystal Drop XL Stainless Steel Water Filter with 2 9-inch AquaCera CeraMetix (also Removes Fluoride) Ceramic Candles - Now with FREE Stand, FREE Cleaning Brush and FREE Cleaning Pad - Now with FREE Filter Stand, FREE Circular Cleaning Brush and FREE Cleaning Pad . (Will fit many other filter systems since the gasket is so thick and spongy. Another sign of quality.)Since I am pretty much off grid, my the water filter supplies all of my water needs. Being able to smoothly and accurately adjust the flow with a quarter turn of the lever allows me be a lot more efficient with usage. When I wash my hands, I need both hands; with the stock, plastic spigot, if I wanted it to stay on while washing my hands, I had to turn it up full blast and wash like a mad man in an effort to save water. Now I can easily swing the lever to the desired amount, using a more appropriate amount of water to clean my hands. Rinsing off dishes became a lot easier and more efficient, too. This is kind of a big deal. Hauling water, while not terribly difficult, is much more of an effort than getting water from indoor plumbing. Some spigots are jerky and some tend to drip a few drops before stopping completely if they can stop from leaking at all. Brew Tapper has no leaks or drips. Adjusting water flow is extremely easy and intuitive; that may sound like an unusual way to describe a spigot, but if you use it for everything and need to adjust the amount of water flow frequently, especially in an off grid situation, you will come to truly appreciate how well this spigot works.Am pretty happy with mine. Highly recommended.

This tap will be serving beverages without a dribble 500 yrs after Iām dead. Easy.
This is the cream of the prime rib and the Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham of spigots. Weighs about 2-3 pounds, solid stainless steel. This beauty aināt stamped, its casted. Then Polished to a high sheen. Freaking work of art. I Replaced the plastic junk spigot original to my container within 2 minutes of mail receipt and the brew tapper just slid right in my dispenser - smooth, like slipping into your favorite pair of well worn blue jeans. And not a single drip or leak. Soon as I could, I went outside, got some safety glasses and took a hammer to the old spigot. I mean just beat the snot out of it, I wanted that weak, plastic tap to understand my deep hatred of it. That Little weak spigot got jammed up over one lemon seed! Can you imagine? ONE DANG SEED! My brew tapper spigot has one word to say to lemon seeds...... screen, you heard right, brew tapper comes with an in-line screen! Blew my mind.Hey folks, look....if you want to buy a spigot that will be more reliable than the sun rising in the East, if you never again want to crash a party with a leaky, flimsy, humiliating little toy tap, if your tired of hearing whispers about your tapping inadequacies, You gotta get a brew tapper. $12 bucks is an insult, my brew tapper is priceless to me.
