Lopez's first collection of poetry is beautiful written and executed. She tackles universal themes in a clear powerful voice which intrigues the reader and provides a personal, intimate experience. The book itself is well organized and contains lovely photography on the cover and back. Lopez is an essential voice in contemporary literature and is a must have in any modern poet's collection.
